$15,000 coupon delivered today by UPS

Hi all Gen V original purchasers. Dodge delivered the 15k coupon by UPS. There is a cover letter, a chart showing the impact of the price reduction and the different Viper variants for 2015 and 2015.5.

The 15K coupon cannot be used to buy a 2013 or 2014 model. Per the cover letter it is for 2015 models.

The price reduction applies to 2014 models but supposedly dealer cash paid to the dealers by Dodge has the same effect for 2013 models. We read about the dealer cash for the 2013 models in a thread a couple of months ago. This means you will not see new stickers on new 2013s at the dealers but you will see the equivalent price reduction if not more since they are 2013s. ( I think we have seen this already.)

The 15K coupon is good from September 8, 2014 until January 2, 2018. It can be used by you or a member of your household. So it may be a good time to order a 2015 Viper for your spouse!

Just to show the effect of this, assume the purchase of a 2015 SRT. The regular base price is $84,885. using the coupon knocks this down to $69,885. ( Tax, tag, destination and gas guzzler not included.) Pretty sweet deal.

Even though it says 2015 in the letter, I have seen guidance issued by Dodge that says that was a mistake. It applies to all 2013, 14, and 15 Vipers. People should just ask their dealer to check the program details in the system to confirm.

I suspect it would also apply to new Vipers beyond 2015 as well, given the expiration is dated to 2018.

Perhaps Dodge will send out a clarifying email and/or letter. As you said, the coupon must apply to model years 2016, 2017 and probably 2018 also or the expiration date makes no sense.

• All existing 2014 model year dealer inventory will be reduced by $15,000, effective immediately
• 2013 Model Year Inventory – new Dealer Cash to arrive at a similar net $15,000 reduction
• Existing 2013 MY & 2014 MY customers – receive a $15,000 certificate towards a new Viper purchase

Received mine and I saw the 2018 expiration which makes no sense.

from what I understand, 13 n 14 15k off to every tom dick or harry, then if you have the voucher 15k in the mail,another 15k off.. so that's 30k off a 13 0r 14

This is incorrect. As is common in many cases the letter has a typo, and if you read the back of said coupon it states New/Unused Vipers , so it is not definitive on only the 2015. In fact , everyone can get ready for wave number two, as Dodge will reissue your voucher stating just that. So kids, keep those cards and letters coming and give me a call for that new Snake!!!

Someone who wants a true six speed ( The 2015 will have a different sixth gear per the data released) and even more of a discount since dealers will have even more discretion on the 2013 since they already received some dealer cash a while back.

Bill, do you know what the cutoff date is to qualify for the $15,000 voucher? The announcement was made on September 8th, so curious if people that bought before the announcement will qualify. Say if the paperwork was signed on September 5th?.
