Re: 20\" Hre News Again

Mike they look great....and the Diablo isn't bad either.

I wish I was still in the market for a set of 20" HRE's but I came across a deal and picked-up a set of 19" 546's in full chrome finish.

I hope you get the group purchase together and post some pics of your Viper with the 20's when you get done.

Ronnie,

I think I might be a viper upgrade addict! Is there a group I can join for this affliction?

Please be advised I will need to know what styles you want and your preference for chrome, or polised or painted

I agree. The regular HREs look nice but the stepped up lip makes the them look smaller than they should. The R series look much better IMO.

I've been calling HRE for 5 months about some 19" 547Rs and everytime I get the same response ... "It'll be about 4 weeks".

What a joke. It's got to the point where even their own dealers don't think the R series for the viper will ever happen.

Re: 20\" Hre News Again

The best thing everyone interested in HRE's can do is to keep calling them and pressuring them to release the 540R series of wheels in Viper sizes that they've been promising for so long. I would have HRE's but for the single issue of the stepped down lip they have, which breaks up the appearance of the wheels and makes them look smaller than they are (I wound up buying chrome ACR's for now). Don't get me wrong, HRE's are still sharp wheels, but if you look at pics of the R series with the deep dish polished lip and the spokes all the way out to the edge of the rim, there is no comparison! HRE keeps saying "soon" but so far they're still vaporware.

The minute 545R's are available, my ACR's are up for sale.

19 " reverse style are definetely already available. I have seen them on some vipers. Namely Jason's car. As far as weight goes I will find out for you

I wonder why HRE keeps saying they aren't:

Thanks Mike,

Those are pretty impressive weight numbers, especially when you compare them to Startech/Brabus. I spoke to the rep at SEMA and they said that their wheel weighs 45 pounds. Not good for the handling department.
