6.4L Hemi Soon?

Sorry it's slightly off topic but anyone have insider info on when the new 6.4L hemi will be going into production SRT cars (e.g, challenger, charger etc)? There has been speculation that it woud make it by 2009 but looks like we are now looking at 2010 model?

Not a rumor - fact. Go any of the SRT sections in the forums for the LX cars. Only rumors is what the final ratings will be, somewhere between 450-500 hp, and similar torque numbers.

I prefer the other rumor that says power will be in the 505-525 hp range, with 510 tq.

Yep, that would be impressive. Those would be about the same ratings as my 8.3, with 2 liters less displacement!

IT better put down way more impressive numbers than the v6 Mustang or start over. The Dodge Flagship motor (besides Viper) should be beating up on the competition, especially other brands non top of the line cars.

Pffft- another 25 hp- bfd. The new Jeep Grand Cherokee is supposed to weigh almost 450 pounds more which would likely offset any performance gains.
