A tale of two Vipers (pics)

We had a nice cruise on Saturday up to Lexington, Missouri. With the impending threat of rain it scared off most, but we still managed to get 8 cars there. A red Gen I and a red Gen III happened to be parked side by side before we left, so I shot a few pictures. I thought you might enjoy seeing them together. No comments from me either way, just interesting to see how much they are alike and yet so different at the same time. Enjoy!

I wish they would smooth those creases out on the SRT hood and move towards more of the NACA style scoop of the GenII.

Though I still havent warmed up to the Gen 3, seeing them side by side is cool.
I think they did an *ok* job with the new body.
It looks pretty much like the natural progression of the marque, and the way the hood opens is sooo much better (visit my old posts re: HOOD GAP PROBLEMS).

In some of the Front Angled shots the Gen III has a Camaro SS look. But when you see it from the rear angle it looks AWESOME as well as the profile. I guess I just need to warm up to the front and back ends...

At least with the top up - the SRT10 is a clear winner to my eye.

Chris - post the black pic over here - that is the best SRT10 shot I've seen!

I still like the GTS - but if I were to go convertible I'd not hesitate to go SRT10.

I think that Gerald had too much Coke to drink, and the resulting BELCH was of such epic proportions that not only did the resonance bring down the building, it made the earth move.

I think the whole episode was one that Gerald would have normally been so imminently proud, but under the circumstances, he had to slink away quietly, hiding under some poor nuns robe... last seen muttering something about having to nip home to feed his pet ***** hampster.

Still think that the Gen 1 has more "presence" and will continue to clear the outside lane quicker. Whilst not decrying the way the Gen 111 looks, it's not "in your face" special.
