I am sure that there have been lots of ones done. Call one of the listed Tuners to see what their numbers were.

I had the intake runners port matched (Ram SRT heads/cam build). I don't think you can do a "Full" port job on the intake without cutting it in half and then re-welding it back once its ported. I don't think its possible to reach all of the areas you would need to reach to do it properly.

Because it was part of an overall build I didn't have any documented results for just this mod.

Taking it apart is really not that hard to do. I was going to write a story on how mine was done and post it with the modification Forum but, Have yet to get it complete. I did post some pictures of it on an alubm here on this site so you can look at a few. I got a really professional job done on the ports/runners and very happy with the diverter setup as well. So I have it together except for the cowel and wipers but, the good thing is there is a Summit Bracket Races Monday Presidents Day and Twister your right, I will be there if it's dry. I am hoping for a tenth of a sec. Anyway if you want the exact details or any questions just hollar up. Also just finished my line lock as well. That was much harder than the manifold.
Regarding tools that motor is built with 1/4-20 bolts all the manifold bolts started out stock 7/16 but I went to 5/16 head 1" 1/4-20 12 point stainless bolts. No you know that looks hot on black powder coated manifold.

Call Badboyzz garage for a price. Tell him I gave you his number. 916 505 9026

thank you very much and hope you have good results...

I belieave your fastest so far is 11.7????And you usually trap 120-121 mph with your highest traps at 123 mph????

So you should no within the first 5-7 passes if she was worth some ponies

Twister, yes 11.7 was my fastest time. The only thing different is the time of year. You would think the denser the air the more power you have but my best run my 11.7 sec it was 82 at the strip. (Go figure) There has been a lot of rain of late and it's being followed by some extremely foggy mornings. So I am not sure if the track will be open on Monday. I drove it today just to see how it felt on the street everything seems normal. It also seems to rev quicker. The track will tell.

thank you very much and hope you have good results...

I ran yesterday at Infineon. It was a foggy morning and it didn't clear for racing untill 10 am. I ran my first run as always just to loosen up the car some and ran an easy 11.8. I was happy, usually my first run is aroung 12.0 The next time I raced I ran 11.7 and my mph was up to 122.5 mph my usual mph is around 118/119 mph Those were the only practice passes I could make before the races started. The next race was up against some mustang who had a head start( bracket racing) I ran 11.7 beat him but, the funny part I hit the rev limiter twice in that run still ran 11.74 and won that round. I then raced a turboed ford caprice his dial in time was 11.3 I beat him at the end of the track but I also had to get off the gas at the end to win. (didn't want to break out) my last race I went up against a 10.31 second car so I had a head start. I got a good launch and drove it hard and was in the lead the whole track but at the end I let off the gas not to break out. We actually both broke out I missed my win by two hundredth of a sec. So that was my day. out of 58 cars I finished the day 6th. I was a bit bummed but thats racing. I can say this about the manifold. It provides more power across the board my 60, time 1.7 sec show good bottom end and my mph were consistently higher so without a test and tune where you can run several times I was pleased. Very pleased. I had also added a line lock to the car to warm up the tires a bit. I think this helped as well since I added 3 more pounds of air to the MT Drag tires. It's interesting to try and apply and understand all the little things that make this car do what it does. I think from the feel of the car it can run low 11.7 or maybe upper 11.6 I think now it's about driving. I am going to do it again.

I am interested in the same thing - how much does it cost to port intake, who does it and what HP gain can it brings up to the stock engine with MM Headers?
I assume it is simple bolt off and bolt back on?

todays my Bday and this mod may be my present (plus an SCT tuner)

Canyon...Seems like you did very well over all..6th place is respectable out of over 50 competitors..Especially in a car like the Viper..Thats some good driving..

So 11.8 and 11.7 at 122.5 mph....Very nice and it seems that this was your fastest track outing yet!!!!

Im chaulking it up as good results..Now i gotta give that guy a call

just talked to bad Boys Garage....Guy seemed really nice...Seems like he really goes all out on the Port/Polish for the manifold...Also seemed like he's eighter the one actually doing the work or very involved..

So far so good...He said that with my roller rockers/no cats/exhaust that I already have this mod should have good results

What's it cost to do the Intake porting? Do you have to send your own or can you buy outright?

Can someone plaese answer YLW DRM2 question? What does it cost to have a gen3 intake ported?:D Sometime I wonder why people on this site are so scared to release prices. My god if people would throw out pricing a little more often then it might help drive some of the viper taxes down when one vender see how cheap a deal another vendor gave someone:dunno: just my .02:2tu: Plus I would like to know cause ported intake sounds like sumthin I might like to have done:D
