Has anybody had experience with the Arrow roller rockers? i'm thinking about installing them on my sc car. How much horsepower will they hold up to safely?
i want the t&d but they seem to pricey and figure the Arrows would be ok for the right price.

thanks Max

I bought the Harland Sharp from Roe Racing earlier this year. The Arrows are made by Harland Sharp and they are the one's that invented the roller rocker. I believe they are good rockers. I know the earlier one's had some issues, but they were taken care of recently. I wouldn't say HP would have as much to do with it as much as how much time you spend at high rpm's or if you went to a more aggresive cam. I guess if you are going to run your car hard all the time go ahead and get the T&D's. For the street and a little racing my thoughts are that they'd be ok.

Get some other opinions before you make your decision. Those are just my thoughts. Talk to Doug Levin about them; I'm sure he'd steer you in the right direction. Jack B knows his stuff. Not to hijack your thread, but...Jack, I met you at the Summit Racing store last month in the parking lot. I don't know if you remember it or not, but I had left my car at home due to some bad plug wires. Just thought I'd say hey.

The only cheap aspect of those rocker arms would be the price. Ward Reasoner (Cudaman) has been utilizing the Harland/Sharp rocker arms for well over a year with zero defects or malfunctions. If anyone knows Ward, he drives his Viper HARD and the only problems to date are transmission, half shaft and differential malfunctions.

How much of gain (if any) would there be from putting the roller rockers on an otherwise stock engine? There should be some gain from the altered lift ratio, right?

Save me from what? I didn't exactly see your car pulling away on the 15, but I did notice it in my rear view mirror a time or two.

I have used and installed the Arrow Rockers. They work great and are easy on the installer. I highly recommend them.

On a side note, concerning early problems with the Arrow adjuster screw, the good news is that Arrow took care of the customer and went so far as to repair-replace the entire engine if needed. Ask the other rocker manufacturers what their guarantee is.

You won't be disappointed with the Arrows, Max.

Good luck,

Tom

Your memory must be fading, old timer....Need I remind you of Summerlin Parkway?
;)
I think roller rockers may be my next thing, how much do the Arrows/Harland Sharp ones go for?

I have 20,000 HP and a cam with 2" of lift. That's right 2" and I drive my car at 10,000 rpm 3 to 4 hours a day. The arrows are holding up great. :D
