Re: Made it easier for all of you to choose...

For me It's about wanting something different. I have had the all basic colors including two silver ones. Would have loved yellow but obviously not in the cards. The purple for me is a front runner!!!!

This is the kind of purple it needs to resemble.

Too dark, I prefer this one, bright and obnoxious:

Re: Made it easier for all of you to choose...

I was hoping that the green would be better than what is on Austin's color chart. I agree with mgw, the lambo green is much better. A darker green metallic would have been better still. Are these colors thought to be pretty accurate of what we will be seeing?

Venom red or the darker blue with white stripes for me, so far....

<<one question, is this in fact the green that dodge will offer or a specualtion. if so i am really bummed

i was looking for this green which on a viper would be awesome!!!!>>!

IMO, certain colors shouldnt be on certain vehicles. The Lambo Lime Green is one of those colors that shouldnt be on the Viper. This was proven when that one member here painted his SRT that color and then proceeded to bastarize it with other goofy lookin' decorations.

Those color selections are based upon a computer generated color scheme. Until you see them in person, Black is the only color you can pretty much guarantee you will know what it looks like.

I was waiting for months for the new Red Rock color on the Jeep SRT8s because the DCX website showed it as a hot blood red, flame red color. Then it came out and it is a **** Brown. Until you see it in person, it is all up in the air.

I personally like the more sophisticated Graphite Greys and classy Viper GTS Pearl Blues. "Grabber" colors do just that grab attention both good and bad.

Before I reserve judgement on any of these new colors, I need to see them in person.

***** when they say you color combo is special edition but for 1 year special. Ha! Ha! That should be a crime to despecialize it the very next year.

Thanks Austin!

No more metallic gray?

Yeah, no silver or gray color, but I'm not getting the 08 anyway, so by the time I upgrade, maybe they'll offer one.

Austin, as usual, did a STUNNING job with the Photoshops. The regional presidents, zone officers, and national officers had the honor of seeing the actual color plates last night. And the purple pictured (including the Charger) are NOWHERE NEAR close. The Viper Violet is closer to Sapphire Blue, here located second from the right on the bottom row:

I have the basic colors, now it's time for something wild... The more of you guys who keep saying hate the green, perhaps the less they will build, making that one rare car. Bring it on, you guys can have your dime-a-dozen (albeit at rare viper production rates) red and black. I would have liked yellow too, I like the purple, that's probably my third choice...

Thanks for the post Austin, that really helped me out.

I think the dark blue (last one) with Black stripes would be best. But they dont seem to offer that option :(

Chris... I thought I remember seeing a silver plate and I thought I counted 11 colors. Were some of the plates shown not offered?

Actually, the silver, graphite, and white were listed as stripe colors - not car colors. I assume that black will be as well, but not about the others. I will check with some folks in Detroit and confirm. Stay tuned!

Re: Made it easier for all of you to choose...

I dug up these pics of a gen 2 GTS today from my picture folder, don't know how it compares to the purple on the color plate. I do know that when they first appeared everyone bashed the guy for turning it into this:

Heres a large pic of all of the color combos without having to go through each one. Hope this helps.
I don't see yellow and that makes me red. :evilmad:

I'm no Picasso, but I tried to match Chris' color tiles (see insert in each pic, as this is an actual paste of Chris' original tile) just to get an idea of some of the new choices:
