Baltimore grand prix Viper paddock? This was posted on here a while back and it just went away. Is there going to be an official viper parking area at the Baltimore Grand Prix? It is coming up quickly and I am making plans.

I go to the St Pete GP every year but only because I'm a motorsports fanatic. In reality Indy is bush league these days. The cars are slower than what is expected out of an Indy car, they are dated and there is maybe three or four somewhat talented drivers in the entire field. All that said, I would definitely go if I lived in the area cause I'm an addict.

Steve, you might want to email John as I know this situation has been on and off for a while, the organizers have been real hard to deal with.

Through a mutual friend, I've been in touch with the person in charge of ticket sales, and car corrals for the Baltimore Grand Prix. I've been told by him that the car corrals are basically full, but he really would like to have some Vipers there. So if I can generate interest to get a few cars, he will make room in the corral for us. Below are the packages and the prices, there is no minimum number of cars needed, whatever we get, we get. However, I believe about 8 to 10 Vipers at this time is about all they can accommodate (may be less as the race gets closer). I had planned on going, and taking both cars, but I just learned that I must be out of town that weekend so I will be unable to make it.
  1. Fri/Sat/Sun w/vehicle admission - $250
  2. Fri/Sat/Sun w/out vehicle admission - $200
  3. Fri/Sat w/vehicle admission - $150
  4. Fri/Sat w/out vehicle admission - $110
  5. Sunday only w/vehicle admission - $150
  6. Sunday only w/out vehicle admission - $115
Assets included with Car Corral Ticket:
  • (1) seat in the Car Corral Grandstand located inside the track, GS-20, at turn 11
  • (1) parking pass in the car corral (if relative)
  • (1) paddock pass
  • access to whatever hospitality is provided in the relative corral
So, for example to take you, a guest, and your Viper for a full 3 day pass would cost $450. Not a bad deal.

Here's the link to the track: http://baltimoregrandprix.com/track.cfm
I've also been informed that car corral sales will either be discontinued this friday the 12th, or friday the 19th at the latest.

Contact me if you want to purchase, and I can set it up.

I've got my ticks for Fri-Sun already, bought them back around xmas, but I'd love to do something with the viper /car corral. I know I've seen emails ranging from a corral to a parade lap, but yea it seems it's been tough for the John & the club to get the organizers squared away.

This event is expensive enough that the club (or Gus) cannot front the ticket purchase. I just sent an email out to the VA/MD/DE club with info on how to purchase tickets which include Viper Corral parking and where to mail your payment. Spots are limited, so if you want to go, please act quickly. If you did not receive the email, please let me know via PM and I will send you the information through the site.

too late.. today:

Unfortunately, at this point, we no longer have Fri/Sat Car Corral tickets with vehicle admission.

The ticket options available are:

3-day Car Corral with vehicle admission - $250
3-day Car Corral without vehicle admission - $200
Fri/Sat Car Corral without vehicle admission - $110
Sunday Car Corral with vehicle admission - $150
Sunday Car Corral without vehicle admission - $115

Summit Point sounds like a good day trip fpr Saturday.. enjoy.

so I guess they must have a large lot full of corvettes, mustangs, 370Zs, camaros etc .. - no more room for a Viper or two.. ??
