I am talking to BC on the phone right now and someone has hacked his account. He asked me to post this to let everyone know the other posts are not his.

Well he should just log on change his password and then delete and/or edit the posts the 'other' person made.

Yea, but I think these no talent script kiddy wana-be's actually did one smart thing. Change the pwd after a bit. BC should have changed it right off your correct.

I should not have said BC had been hacked, that's given these scipt kiddy wana-be's way too much credit. More like a sucker punch theft of his pwd. These SKW's think a MAC address where where they get their burgers.

All he has to do is try to log in when it says he has the wrong pass word he can have the password sent to his email. Then he will have the new password and can change it then.

Hacked?? Some people need to learn the real meaning of being hacked. This is not the first time this has happened to Little Carrot. When you leave your computer connected to the forum at work these things seem to happen. Its not hacking in any sense. No one broke into his system through some intelligent means. The only thing this whole tread is doing is HACKING people off!!!!

Then you scroll down enter your board name and email addy. Then you are automatically sent a temporary password.

OK, we are not on the same page here. If someone uses your account and changes the password and the email address then when you goto the change password screen you can enter either your login name OR your email address, not both.

You enter your login name and the new pwd gets sent to the hacked email address, not you.

You enter your email address and your request is reject as your old email address does not match the new hacked address.

If you could enter both at the same time and receive a new password that would be completely useless as I could enter:

Logon: michaelp
email: [email protected]

and immediatally have access to you account while locking you out.

Understand?

Michael, yes that is correct. I was not discussing what had actually been done, but what could have been done. That's why I think we were on the wrong page.

As for the e-mails being sent to the user, just have two seperate e-mail accounts. It ensures a little more protection, that's what I do.
