We're going to take off the old intake plenum and put the new polished one on. Does anybody know the torque specs?

Anything thats tricky to watch or any tips?

Thanks! I'll post pics when its done.

heres a quick pic before it goes on.

You must be registered for see images

what is that little k&n air filter for on the left side of the pic? That tube should connect into the supercharger air intake tube, instead it has the air filter on the end. Is that a crankcase breather? Should I use it or not?

Also what can I use to make this really shine? I did hand polish the top of it with mothers mag and aluminum polish. Any ideas?

You go! Might try and PM Jerry Dobson for some of those questions. He can tell you what he used to buffer the polish on the intake for ours.
Pictures when it's done!

Looks like they simply placed a filter instead of recirculating the crankcase air through the throttlebody.

Meguiars aluminum polish produces amazing results.

On the intake hose, they may have had a custom intake set up that did not have a mounting point for that, therefore the filter. That line feeds the idle air control motor.

I think this intake comes off a Viper that hit the wall.
For $600 it is a very good deal. A basic polish job is $500.

The torque is very low on those bolts. It is something like 10ft/lb or even lower.
Just torque it with a 1/4 tool.

Are you saying the intake I am selling was from an acceident?

If so not true....

My intake was off my car because I am going with a hogan's sheetmetal one...

I might just get this one polished and sell it..
