According to CNN, Virginia ranks 43rd in the US in overall tax burden. Texas is 42nd.

I appreciate the sentiment, but a CNN comparison of taxes for someone with $75K income, $200K house, and $25K in savings (SWAG, but you referenced 10 year old data from a Massachusetts organization) isn't really representative for many hard working people. Also, the loss of freedoms in VA strikes me as a big issue.
