Oops, I see the need for some serious comebacks. Garaged? Waxed?? Flipped???

Come on Jerry - give it to em.

Did you get the factory paint job, or are you going to do a wild Fresno Fresco on it? Sounded kinda cool to say that, but really just wanted to know if we
get photos soon, or if we have to wait for the second unveiling?

Congrats!!

Hi Jerry,

Congrats on getting your Coupe! Pics would be great!

My SRT should arrive in about 10 days or so, so I am excited to get my Viper also!

Regards,

Re: C21 Arrives... (PHOTOS)

2Charmed - You are going to love the SRT-10. I've a great time with mine.

To answer your questions: First, I have 2 SRT-10's. I am selling one of them for thousands less than I paid for it to another VCA member that was unable to qualify for one himself. I am keeping the other SRT-10 for myself and I will not be selling it. Second, I have someone arriving in California on Wednesday to change the appearence of C21 from the solid black factory paint job. Photos will be posted on Friday if there is any interest. Third, I am not as experienced as many of the racers on this board but you have to start somewhere. What better car than this one to continue the learning process. I will try and go to at least 2 Viper Days events per year as my work schedule allows and maybe some autocross events if they have a large enough track for me to navigate. I will not be going to Laguna Seca with this car though for a few reasons. First, I think the DB level would not be allowed and second I have cork-screw-walloh-fobia for some reason. After totaling my 96 GTS there, I haven't been back... at least as a driver.

I hope some of you enjoy the photos.

Sir Fang,
Would you please adopt me!

A line from the Batman movie (Joker) comes to mind:
"He has the most wonderful toys."

Awesome.

Why doesn't the back end of the SRT look like that

My guess --- because they are using the RT/GTS presentation pattern. The backend of the SRT is similar to the RT, so the GTS version of the SRT will be similar to the old GTS. However, I agree that it would have been nice to see the CC backend on the SRT.

Re: C21 Arrives...

The stripes won't exactly be silver stripes. The design will be a bit like Bob Woodhouse's CC. I used his company on the artwork design. I hope it looks as good on the car as it does on paper.

If ever Darth Vader would have driven a car, this would be it...No words...it looks so sinister just sitting there...Now if only you could get that front end on an SRT10....

Jer, that CC looks AWESOME! Whatever you do, DO NOT put that thing on an open trailer and haul it around town!!!! You'll cause one of those 100 car pileups from mesmorized gawkers!! :D It just looks SO sinister! Wow!

That is one sick looking car.
Fiorano, I totally agree with you. But, since even 'sick' snakes deserve tender loving care and medical attention, I am willing so share the expense and hassle of bringing this snake back to health. (My garage for a month; your garage for a month; etc. until it's 'cured')
Sound like a plan?????

All DC had to do was make the SRT look like this-- That's all !! I have never seen a negative comment about the design of the Comp Coupe. But no, they gave us the SRT. I'm on my 5th Viper and in my humble opinion DC really dropped the ball on this one. As my sig says I'm not taking the '03. I've tried for a year and a half to like it but it's never gonna happen. Thanks DC, try and get it right next time.

Hi Jerry,

CC Looks very nice.

I suggest you link-up with Rich Bontempi and track together. There are several groups for you to run and get more seat time.

Understand your Laguna Seca comment.

And I lover my SRT-10.

Hi Jerry,

......Understand your Laguna Seca comment.

I don't think the CC can pass sound test at Laguna.(Definally have to lift) Mumfords car at Thunderhill when running OTC on a Wed. was said to hit 108 decibles. Although there are no restrictions at T-Hill the officials were telling him if he hit 108 again he would be sent packing. They would not reveal where the equipment was located at.

Jerry, are the front fenders done like the revised SRT-10 with the higher crown, or are they flatter like the original SRT design? They look more like the flatter more aerodynamic design to me & you should be able to tell us as you have both just sittin' around.

I will be taking photos of the finished artwork on the car along with the SRT-10 Friday or Saturday. I will try and park side by side to get some photos.

The bad thing is I have to drive the car on the street to get to the front yard. Darn... That means I have to back out of my driveway, go to the end of the block to turn around, make a 5 point turn then return into my front driveway. This will not be fun!
