Way to go Paolo. Just got the word from Sound Performance. At 14PSI she did 980WHP and 1116Torque. I couldn't be happier!!! Can't wait to get out there to pick her up. Thanks to Jimmy Voorhees for his expert tuning as well. See you boys soon!!!!

Hi. Which year Viper has this been done to? Could you please list all the mods including non engine related mods like half shafts, diff, clutch, tranny, brakes, etc. Thanks.

Car is a '96 RT/10. It's a stroker done by Aarow/Macedo. Cam, crank, ARP internals, pistons, stage 3 heads, clevite bearings, stock clutch, stock tranny, unitrax half shafts. Setup is CPE's 66MM sidemount with water ****. Next on the upgrade list is the tranny/clutch of course. Engine has about 5k miles on it since rebuilt. Picking the car up tomorrow. Can not wait. She is a beast. Not too bad for a GEN 1!!!!!

Interesting. What about he brakes? If they are still stock, I think you need to upgrade. Post after you heat up the tires and then test her a bit. Based on the power levels, you might want to wear some Depends to be on the safe side. LOL.

:nono:no worries guy.....cross drilled and slotted rotors, steel braided lines, pads. It's fine for now.

Bob, I was surprised how well the stock calipers/pads and cross drilled rotors combination works together for some pretty good stopping power.

Remember, I have done quite a bit of high speed threshold braking in my day...... I was a little worried about the brakes until I used them a couple of times, they are not bad;)

Depends might not be enough for some people......I would suggest maybe a Glad 4-Ply garbage bag to be sure!

Chad, I will teach you how to threshold brake with the best of them! I am working on buttoning up the rest of the car now!

What are you using for engine controls?

I'm still wondering why mine wasn't tuned with more boost...:dunno:

so this might be one of the highest hp/torque gen 1's out there? i haven't read anything in past years about anything close to this in the gen 1 world.

hows this compare to yellowstains car in power ?

I believe Yellowstain's car is somewhere in the low 900s with 10 to 12lb of boost with water/**** (I've never seen it use nitrous). He ran a 9.8X at 15X two years ago in Bradenton. His turbos are smaller so he is probably maxed out at those numbers.

There sure are not many TT gen1s out there. Chad, Yellowstain, Dansauto, an SVS car, and 1 over seas are all I can think of.

who knows. I wouldnt trust any figures unless it was put on a differant dyno. remember SRT's car at UGR? there was over a 200 Hpo differnace:rolleyes:

Dan, which dyno #'s are you questioning?

SP's Dyno #'s or M2's dyno #'s?

FYI, Jody Gleason's car laid down somewhere like 35 MORE RWHP a day later on Donovan's Dynojet on the same tune from SP's dyno.
