Can anybody tell me the trick to remove the cat from the header? I removed the hanger and loosened the nut off the one clamp I can see under the car, but the cat will not budge. I appreciate any help....

Thanks....

I had to tap on the V band clamp with a screwdriver and hammer until it broke loose.

The v band can be a real pain in the ass. I used a bunch of wd40 to help loosen things up and used a long flat head screwdriver to work it around the "v" until it eventually popped free of the headers and cats. Good luck.

Large flat head screwdriver in the clamp wedged around the edges to loosen it up, then I grabbed the corner of the cat pipe and push pull back and forth... With the hanger at the corner off you can even tap on the cat pipe at the elbow staight up and down to break the seal between the cat pipe and the header flange.. That V band clamp really presses the cat pipe onto the header so it can be "stuck" a little bit even after the clamp is loose.
