Comp Coupe Exhaust Question

Hi all,

I have a highly modified GTS and am trying to make it sound legal for Laguna Seca - 92db max. With Borla's and no cats I touched 101 db full throttle (with reslutant black flag and verbal spanking). Even 6th gear and partial throttle just to get up the hill from 5 to 6 (where the sound meter is) was around 97 db. Do any of you know what db the comp coupe is at and what type of mufflers they run? I have seen photos and they look to run the entire length of the side sill.

Any help/advice would be most helpful.

We were blowing 106s - 107s at Arizona Motorsports Park with the stock Comp Coupe exhaust system. We had to fabricate half-a$$ exhaust baffles to get down under the 103db sound limit. Absolutely no chance of hitting 92 db limit.

I thought I remember the CC's being quieter than that. Too bad the all the rich folk that moved in right next ot a race track whinned about the noise and ruined a great thing for the rest of us.
