Greetings, my 1st post here. A 3-part question relative to exhaust mods. Would the installation of a Corsa track exhaust and high flow cats on the '06 Viper cause the car to throw any codes, would the car have to be reflashed or would it relearn the mods, and what is your experiance about exhaust mods in terms of warranty? My experiance is that cat-back exhaust is pretty common on many new cars and trucks offered for sale at dealerships these days and they don't tend to effect warranty, but was wondering about specific Viper cases.. Thank you,

I have a 06 coupe with corsa track and HF cats and 3.55 gears all done by the dodge dealer himself. They where done by Scott a very good viper specialist at Warnock Dodge in Morristown NJ. No codes or problems car was treated like a queen and runs like wild beast and even sounds better than anything I have owned with a V8. Once you get into the V10 you are special on the street. It doesn't sound like every other chevelle with a borla exhaust on it. Go for it and enjoy it didn't void my warrantty...

Isn't it illegal to replace the cats at all, unless they are not working??

Not that I care, just wondering...

It might be illegal I do not know. Dodge dealer says it's okay with him and he will stand behind my new car warr. I thought it's illegal to remove them completely. We are just using diff ones. I haven't seen any roadside checks in my area. Even if they did when they look under a viper what would they notice anyway.

When I recieved my RT cats they came with a note that said it is illegal to remove and replace cats that are in working order . The key word here is "working order". As long as your dealer will honor the warranty and not inform DC that you have changed out the OEM cats then you should be fine. If DC finds out then your ass is grass as they say.
