I was @ Roebling this weekend and we wanted to put one of the go pro cams on my car. Didn't wanna block and driver viewing so the winshield was out. We tried a couple other places, nothing would stick due to curves or clearbra. Then I saw the nice big flat surface of the foglight matched up pretty well with the suction cup. I should have the vid in a couple days and I'll post the link up as well. I haven't seen it yet but has to be cool from that perspective.

No remotes but they now make even a HD version that has great video. The sound kinda ***** on this though at least mine does lol. They are a WIDE angle lens also gives a huge view!

That is a brilliant location. It does give your car the Terminator look with his skin peeled back...very cool.

As much as I like the front view, my buddy mounts his facing the rear. It is very entertaining watching the faces and antics of the other drivers as they try to pass you:D

Look forward to the vids.

Cheers,
George

I just ordered the HD Motorsports Hero for $230 shipped.

Not sure everyone else is paying.

So what sort of times do you run, and on what tires?

I was on Toyo 888's. I only got about 2-3 clean laps all weekend and i'm not sure what I ran. I did get timed @ 1:28 in traffic. I was put in the green noob group due to not having run with this PCA group before. Passing was only allowed on the straight and on the 2nd lap of ther entire weekend I was black flagged for passing to many people on the straight. It was so bad that in the green groups drivers meeting on the 2nd day the rest of the group asked that I be moved out of the group because everyone saw how much faster I was and they were tired of worrying about me coming up in their mirrors. That didn't happen.

thanks for the info

I was kind of vague. :rolaugh:

Many of the camera systems can hold over 150lbs. So a .25lb camera can usually hold the camera up to 120mph (depending on the mount).

A few of my friends make systems for their personal cars & friends, generally they mount inside the car since they don't use as expensive of parts. But one friend who makes them puts it on the windshield for rally-x (lots of vibration & sudden changes in velocity).

I tested this one to 150mph on the straight. No problems. I should be getting a copy of the vid on Sat.

from where?....the cheapest I see is $300....

I have to be careful what I say before I make any vendors here mad.

I asked if this deal could be offered to those "outside" of where I got it. Waiting on a reply.

Best to email me off of here. And don't use my email in my profile. That is only there as I am not allowed to use my yahoo addy.

Roebling is a nice track. I ran the Viper Days Finals there in early '98 in my GTS. 100% bone stock - down to the air filters and OEM MXX3 tires. 1:22.18 for the class win.
