Roe Racing has another shipment of Superchargers on the way that will be avalible mid September. I am offering free installation at the MSRP price of $7495 for the polished and $7245 for the black powdercoated. To hold a position it takes a refundable $500 deposit. I think about 20 out of 50 are already spoken for with deposits. My car now has over 8000 supercharger miles and I drive it daily. There is no supercharger whine at idle or cruise.....full throttle is another story :) http://www.catt.com/~darmour/viper1048.mpg

That's a little one-sided, isn't it Tony?

1996 GTS Venom 500 Roe supercharger 10.48 @ 137

Tony, did you do anything special to reduce compression? I'm noticing the more boost the lower compression should be. Is Sean's SC boost just low enough to be safe with the higher compression on that Venom 500? Plus any word on the Gen 1 version?

OK, ill be the one to ask to (not so) obvious. why you doing free installs?

Would you believe me if I told you it is so easy to install and I am such a nice guy :) ???? Well that's true (some say only the first part) but MattL was correct also. This is really the first batch of superchargers that Roe Racing dealers have gotten dibs on. Before, the buyer would order and then have it installed. In my case they were shipped to me but purchased directly from Roe.

Bad Byte, A Venom 500 is nothing more than headers, exhaust, 70mm throttle bodies, 3.55 gear. No internal or head work so 5 psi is fine. Now 7 psi is also avalible for forged piston cars....1999 and earlier. Sean is working on Gen1...I don't know the time frame but I believe it is going to happen. Check out the video of my car at the dragstrip to see and hear the s/c at work.

Tony Do you have anyone in Va. I want a supercharger ,but I don't have time to really mess with fixing it if it brakes. So If I had a problem the installer was close it would just make it much easier.

Tony,
I have the Dastek Unichip custom programmed for the car. Will this setup work with the S/C or would I need to go with a VEC? Thanks, Michael `~b~o~o~s~t~">~

OK, so now I'll ask the real question:

Since a Venom 550 has a 10:1 compression ratio would installing Sean's supercharger be wise? That is what I was hinting at in my first post.

1Tony1, I saw a video of you making that awesome pass on the drag strip. My question is how did you get your Roe Charger to whine like that. My friends doesnt do it at all really. Is that only 5PSI? What gives?

It is funny about the whine(or just in my car)...... I can't hardly hear it. The exception to that is...... When I was @ V-10 Nationals...... I let the Fuelman drive my Viper..... he ran the car away from were I was standing..... I heard nothing (but loud exhaust)..... but when he got to end and turned around and was heading straight towards me....... you could that 8lbs supercharger SCREAM .... it sounded IMPRESSIVE!

The rest of the time you really do not hear it. I noticed in Tony's video his car is heading directly toward you. Has any one else noticed that about their Roe S/C Viper ?

With the vec2 it would be best to go back to the stock pcm. It could be tuned via the vec2 to work with the Dastek but the results would be the same. The vec2 comes with the s/c...included.

Sorry, I didn't notice you had a 550. We would need to consult with Sean. Since the forged cars are now using 7 psi yours may be ok with 5 psi. Kenne-Bell says 1 point compression ratio = 2 pounds of boost so I say it would work. Maybe tuned a little different. If the heads have had the exhaust ports worked it would help.

The whine isn't real noticable from inside or behind. The guys that made the video were telling me and I didn't believe them until I saw it for myself. All of the Roe s/c will do it.

Heres a thought on installs after thinking about RX VIPER and his location. He is about 2.5 hours flying time for me. I might be interested in doing mobile installs within 500 air miles. It would cost approximatly $250 more but sounds like fun. You would have to have a garage and any size airport within a 30 minute drive. There are small airports everywhere that most folks don't even know about.
