Here are my dyno plots with Stock pistons, heads, cam, injectors, heads and stock mufflers. A couple neat additions on the Paxton S/C kit courtesy Todd Abrams @ A&C Performance. We also did allot of work on the exhaust for the right balance of power and sound.

I have had owned the car for 1 year and I went through allot of dyno tuning bot N/A and S/C. Took many iterations to get that VEC3 with S/C tuning worked out. Thanks to A&C Performance, and much determination and I think the car is finally where it needs to be and I have reached my goal for good power and drivability both part throttle and WOT.

The data is SAE corrected. I was running 91 oct and it was 90-95 degrees in the shop. After we felt the tuning was optimized we let the car cool for 30 minutes. The times stamps between 3 dyno were 15 minutes. The first 2 runs were very identical. By the third run, same tune, I believe we were getting a bit heat soaked. Thats the only explanation i have for the 2% lower change for the 3rd run.

Thanks Todd for all your dedication and getting my car done right!

It's has the stock Paxton fuel system with the Vec 3 controlling everything. The leakdown numbers on this motor were between 6-10 % everywhere as I checked it before we dynoed. The car has always made great power. Actually this car is the strongest Gen3 Paxton car on 91 octane with absolutely no engine work whatsoever. It's got a pretty aggressive timing curve for 91 octane BUT the car wanted it :) The only time the valve covers came off was to install the breather system :)

Hope you enjoy the car Dimitri and I'll see you soon.

Todd, isn't that a little scary with the stock paxton fuel system ? Especially with the aggressive timing.....

I rather defer any questions about the car to Todd. It's his work and he has seen this post. Me and Todd discused Many various options during this bolt on build and tune and I followed his recommendations. It's all in the tuning.

Plumcrazy,

The air fuel stays dead consistant on this car. Others have tended to run a bit lean and then I tend to be a bit more conservative.

As far as timing goes, every car is different. This particular car loves the timing. I'm extremely careful on these stock Gen3 motors. I've just had good success on these with using the Vec's, our wiring and relays, some small changes, etc.

Dimitri's car would make any Gen3 owner happy. The vec was worth alot of torque down low.

Todd

I do regular plug checks for any sign of detonation and routine leakdowns to assure everything is sound.

We've changed the BOV to a 52mm mounted down low, upgraded the heat exchanger and pump as always, used our own relays and wiring for added safety, done some TB modifications to the BBK Unit, added our breather system which I feel greatly helps, and a handful of other things for this car.

Stock injectors?

It says stock muffler and it says, "We also did allot of work on the exhaust for the right balance of power and sound."???

As far as exhaust I went through alot on this subject. It was trial and error which cost time and money and not real practical to run around town listening to other viper owners exhaust systems. I guess I will pass the buck here. No matter it's still tough to get our v10 to sound as sweet as a nice v8. I didn't want the car very loud however we needed to extract as much power as possible. I started with headers, hi flo cats, to keep It legit, and performance mufflers... No good. Didn't like muffler sound. Then I went with headers, hi flo cats, stock mufflers... too quiet. Then headers, cats, stock mufflers and removed crossover. Getting better but just not loud enough and too much cabin heat with crossover. Finally, headers, no cats, no crossovers and stock mufflers. I think this was as good as it gets and I was real tired of making any more changes.

Interesting ideas. You could have searched on this site, read hundreds of opinions and followed the many links to various youtube videos of Viper exhaust systems.

I would have just listened to a the different brands and then called the company I liked the best and told them exactly what I wanted and let them utilize their expertise and build the system for me.

There have beem a few posts of Gen3 owners that have upgraded to the Gen4 exhaust as it's the Ultimate stock system so far.

Of course everyone has their own opinion of their best sound and I'm glad that you've found yours.

Did all that and it's not the same as driving the car and experiencing the sound in the seat through the rpm's and gears. Sound clips are worthless in my opinion and most people usually preach what they got simply because that's what the got and paid for. I got no qualms... It cost me more but I put this subject to rest my way. By the way the stock gen3 and gen4 mufflers are identical.
