Glove Box - 06 Coupe

Kind of an obscure thing to fail, but has anyone else had this issue.. The mechanism that holds the glove box door closed (U-shaped bracket w/ 2 metal screws) has come loose and I can't get it to go back in and hold. I think some of the plastic from the box itself has broken, so the screws/anchors have nothing to latch on to. So, my glove box will not close. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem in my 2003. I think maybe epoxy glue...

Several portions of my glovebox were starting to crack. I just put an aluminum plate behind the plastic to reinforce where the loop mounts. Got some longer screws so the loop actually bolts through the aluminum plate.
