I'm thinking of upgrading my fuel system from the tank forward. I have an 8lb Roe with head work, headers, high flow cats and 1.7 valves.

What kind of fuel system hardware should I get? I'm thinking of adding N2O so I need the extra fuel flow. What size lines, pumps, etc would I need? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you were building a "generic" system to be extremely safe, get yourself some -10 AN line, an aeromotive fuel pump, a fuel pressure regulator, and some fuel rails. you'll be out about 1k but you'll be good to go for a long while.

Probably a little more than 1K. A good Aeromotive pump is $400. I would suggest the BG King Sumo pump instead. The Aeromotive pumps are known to overheat and shut down, better yet run two Walbro 255's in stk canister. Cheaper, quieter and proven reliability. West Coast Viper sells Rails about the cheapest I have seen.

I have had some issues with the aeromotive pump (11104)
But it had to do with ventilation. I will be going with the Weldon pumps...they don't have heating issues and they flow a lot. They are a bit pricer..but in the end..they seem to work well.

Just for my AN fittings and hoses, I spent nearly $360 on that alone. Fuel rails $350, Fuel pump $450, injectors $500.00 plus labor cost...oh...fuel filter..$100, fuel pump controller...$250...regulator $135..heat sheilding...$50..I think that is it..

As dansauto said, Barry Grant King Sumo would be a good pump to get. Problem is, they are hard to get as they've been on backorder for quite some time. You'll need a pump that can run at least 100 GPH (about 650-700 lbs/hr) at 70 psi.
We just ordered another Weldon pump for a 10+ psi car with NOS here.
You'll need -8 hose from tank to filter, -8 filter to pump, -8 pump to regulator, -6 from regulator to tank and -6 all the way to the T at the front.
Should work like a champ.

Regards,
Sean

What about an Aeromotive A1000 which will do 600lbs at 45psi? Is that not enough?

Do I still use the stock pump in the tank?

Well, I'm still trying to upgrade my fuel system. I see a lot of posts about pumps and mounting locations.

My biggest question is if you upgrade the size of your lines don't you have to have at least the same diameter down to the bottom of the tank? If so, how do you install the line from the bottom of the tank to the pump? You can't go through the stock canister fitting cause it's too small.

Twin Walbros in the tank with -8 and a return through the stock system , fuel rails, reg. , and big injectors. I have a local guy that can build it and ship or install.
