Hi, new member. Just bought a new \'01 Viper ACR!!! (pics)

Greetings! I sold my Z06 last week and picked up an '01 ACR! The Vette was great, but I wanted something a little different. So far, this car is everything I thought it would be and more. The attention is absolutely incredible. I've also been following this board for several months now. Lots of useful information. Have even meet several locals already. (Smokin'V10, Treynor, snakester) What's up guys!!! Anyways, I hope my stay will be a long one. Take care.

Excellent...that ACR looks freakin rad...

As a C5 defector, do not feel you are obligated to show mercy on your former brethren...you must actively seek and kill as many as possible...this is no easy task, as there were 35,000 C5's produced 2002 alone, of which 16,000 were Z06's. Occasionally you will happen upon one of these advisaries that may not go down so easily. On the super rare occasion, a wolf in sheeps clothing may even "walk you like a civic"...These unfortunate incidents are rare, but do happen...This will only strengthen your resolve to do what ever it takes, spend quantities of money that would make our government seem "thrifty", perhaps even tapping your childrens college fund, to all but double your factory HP rating...But you can sleep easy, knowing your new weapon of choice is near the top of the food chain...an agile and most capable predator...Happy Hunting!

I take it you are Z0 Sick from the Supra forums as I read it there last night. Good choice in getting rid of the Z06 and stepping up to the Viper.

Hey Tommy!

Welcome to the club. Your car looks an awful lot like another sapphire blue ACR I know of . . . This is your thread so I won't hijack it with photos of another car (ahem, mine), but there are a few images you might want to check out in the media/2001 area. But dude, how could you buy a GTS without stripes?

You need to join the NorCal chapter of the VCA, we just had our monthly meeting last night in Campbell -- Good bunch of guys all. There are lots of upcoming local events, maybe we can get you out for "hot summer nights" in Danville on the 22nd.

When are we going to see that car on some of the local tracks?

Stripes or not, congrats man, its a great car.

Did you come to our nor-cal meeting last night?
You might want to take a ride down to Button Willow next month and check out Viper Days. It might be a little soon to put your car on the track (break in) but I think you would have a great time anyway. If you do come down I'll take you out in my Panoz race car for a few hot laps.

That's a very unique car, ACR, Saphire, no stripes. If I was you, that would be a keeper for sure. Very nice, but you already knew that!


Some of us So Cal guys do Thunderhill, and Button Willow. I'm going to Button Willow with the next Viper Days, so maybe I'll see you if you drop by.

So far, I have only done Willow Springs, about 3 hours worth. Best time so far was 1:38.1, w/instructor aboard. Wish I had those 5-points!

It's SOOOO addicting!
