How important speed and power was to you when you bought a Viper?

To me I loved the looks also knowing that it was faster than my friends Corvettes helped too. Plus there is one Viper for 30 Corvettes on the street. The only thing that scared me was the service since I did not have a great experience with my Intrepid. But I'm 30min away from Chuck so I'm safe.

For me, I got excited when I heard Lee was getting one. I got extatic when I heard he got delivery of it. When I saw it, I immediatly became an enthusiast. When I rode in it, I started thinking of becoming an owner. After I drove, I knew I needed to become an owner. Now, I just need the money to get one. :D <Hopefully to be an owner soon>

Speed and power are nice... looks and exclusivity are nicer...

The fact that I've been in love with the car ever since they came out when I was 12 years old... that's why I got one.

This is just me - I can't speak on behalf of anyone else here.

It's a 10 point equation for me (for any "toy"/track car).

* Performance (speed+power+brakes+handling) = 9 of 10 points
* Curb Appeal = 1 of 10 points

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love how the Viper looks but I spend a lot more time throwing home 3rd or snapping the rear end out a little then oggling any of my cars.

Saftey, fuel economy, insurance costs, repair, etc don't factor into my "toy" purchases.

Now then, with my daily driver the equation is spread much thinner over an average of many points of consideration.

Speed and power were the main factors for this kid, I love the bodywork but sometimes it's downright gaudy pulling up to a light in this thing, the attention is silly at times.

I like fast stuff, period. This car is fast. I bought one.

(and of course now it's not fast enough, but a heck of a starting point at 420ish at the tires).

Not the main determining factor. I had the Viper bug in me and "had" to have one. With the Z-06 I got tired of passing myself on the street daily. I'm a poser anyway ! LOL!

Definately LOOKS. I don't even have to drive my car to enjoy it. (driving it is definately better than looking though)

The fact that it is the fastest and best handling car made in america was just an added bonus.

I owned my vette and thought it was time to step up to the viper.

LOOKS sold me!

About 10 years ago I snuck under the ropes at a local car show to sit in a Viper. It was really cool and exciting to be in such a special car.

I said to myself "Someday...someday" but I doubted that I'd actually own one in real life. But now I do, and I love it.

I also liked the Prowler a lot for it's show-car looks, but ultimately although it was reasonably quick, the Viper was EVERYTHING that it's wild looks promised...and more, being a really fast and great handling supercar.

Looks and power. When the Viper first came out I wanted one--but I couldn't afford it then. However, when the GTS came out I instantly fell in love with the body style...and then when it went to 450 horses, well that was it for me. I finally saved enough and was able to purchase a GTS'02, red and silver. I love it and hope to never part with it.
