Never have had one on any of my cars, and in retrospect, I would have lost money if I had, these are bulletproof cars, even the way I drive them. 1 has 40k miles, 1 30k, 1 20k, nary a problem...

The only one that came close was the window regulator on the 2003, but even with my A/C issues I came out ahead on that one... It is nice having piece of mind however...

I have one and the best price happened to be at my local Dodge dealer for 7 year 50k plan. The transferrable feature is nice too. Really depends a lot on how long are you planning to keep and use the car.

06 Vert I bought it the next 2 did not.

If I find a solid gen IV that I like I will pass again. If you keep them mostly stock they are seriously under stressed cars

I bought one for my '04. It covered a leaking shock, worn parking brakes, and a window regulator. They denied my clogged catalytic converter claim, but after a dozen calls to SRT, they workout a deal so that I wouldn't have to pay full price.

In my case I about broke even, so the warranty gives me piece of mind with no to little added expense.

Vipers are not ordinary cars, they are made up of hundreds of expensive Viper-only parts.

My 2010 came with a Basic 3/36 and Drivetrain 5/100. I'll probably sell or trade in before I hit 5/100, so I haven't purchased an extended warranty.

The problem with a warranty on these cars is you get more of the same-- I had a leaky OEM shock and (of course) the oil cooler lines. Did I want those same OEM quality parts put back on the car? Hell no! With a Viper, sometimes "peace of mind" is replacing common failures with improved aftermarket parts. Between that-- and fighting with them tooth and nail for every warranty repair, I chose to forgo the warranty when it expired last August (and when they hiked the price of service contracts by 50% in 2013!). That, and window regulators are much cheaper now than they used to be.

I am in the "peace of mind" club and fortunately, I have never had a problem using the warranty from my local dealer, at least not yet. I was lucky enough to have purchased my car when they were running that limited offer for "Lifetime" Max care, as long as I own the car, with unlimited mileage, it is not transferable if I were to sell the car. Though in the future I may own other Vipers, I don't see myself getting rid of my 2010 ACR. Bill Pemberton at Woodhouse (where I got the car) let me know about the warranty deal and I jumped on it.
