You can tell by the position of the valve covers that its a Gen IV. It does look like the factory aero kit. Still, must be a monster! Would love to see that setup on an ACR (though I doubt you'd get to use the full capabilites at the track).

The computer isn't cracked, it is using dual Motec M800's to get the job done, easily at a cost of $10,000 when you factor in the wiring, and with no OBD2 compliance for these damn plug-in states. Unfortunately, there is still no way to easily deal with the 08-09's...

They did one last year painted orange with blk center band. Had a Hollinger 6 spd sequential tranny in it. Was supposed to run at the Texas mile. Had the Motec also.

AEM will run the engine too but alas, no OBDII compatibility, i.e. you loose your ability to plug into the OE computer and just pull codes.

Smog becomes difficult at that point in most states.

Nope... AEM cannot run the 08-09 engine due to the Variable Valve Timing.

If I recall, that car was a Gen-3 engine transplant, as we supplied some of the parts to build it....

I talked with Kevin today and can tell you this is an awesome sounding project that has been beautifully done by UGR. Not cheap by any means but if I had the $$$ I would even be in line!

Wonderful job guys.

wasn't a transplant, just a regular old '06 coupe with the ACR paint scheme.

I sure wish I hadn't bought that 08 pan from you (not that you did anything wrong), it sure ended up costling me a TON of money

Hmm... If I recall when talking with RSI, there was some sort of an issue with lack of control when running a single. This car is perhaps not using one of the functions they were trying to use...? Not sure... I will bring it up next time I talk with them.
