In Desperate Need Of A New Hood Pad

Hi i am looking for a new hood silencer pad for my 06 coupe. i have ordered 3 of them from the dealer and all 3 came in damaged. now they have superseeded the part number because they are changing vendors for that part but they arent available yet. viper parts of america are sold out. i need one in perfect condition please let me know thanks

i personally have not looked at the damaged ones the dealer called me and told me about it they know how picky i am. yes i would like an absolute perfect pad or as close to as possible. i have already took my old one off and destroyed it

I feel your pain. It took me four tries before I'd accept one that I felt was good enough to keep. Why they can't or couldn't package these things better to protect them is totally beyond me. The main issue is the bent or broken corners although I had a couple with rips in the fabric.

Im in the same boat as you. Remember a few months ago i posted about how a mouse chewed the heck out of my hood pad. Well i still didnt get a new one yet but i found them for $135.00. But im also affraid of ordering it and having it show up bent. I need it to be excellent for when i take the car to shows. sorry to hijack. Click on hood and components. Then click hood insulator. You can view trhe price and a illustartion the part you are looking at. Hope this helps.

is the other one thats on order yours? If not maybe if you order one it might help get the ball rolling on these hood pads. I'll pm you just in case you dont read this post.

i just checked today on the hood pad status. there are now 8 on order and the ETA is august 8th
