Just another one of those Snake Bitten moments!

I don't know any more details yet :(

When leaving the Fairmile Corvette meet in Surrey, UK, Mike had cold damp tyres on the Viper and when he hit second the back end got loose, when correcting it bite and sadly sent him sideways through a few trees and into the ditch, Mike and his son were ok just such a shame the night ended that way but the main thing both were ok, car had to be low loader-ed out of the ditch which thankfully went well and no further damage was done to the car and it was back at his house by 1.15am this morning, such a shame.

Lets be careful out there!

Update : From one of the Corvette members.....

"The police were good as gold very helpful and at no point were they pointing the finger or any such attitude, they felt for Mike as we all did and were extremely helpful, car was removed without any further damage which was a blessing, to be honest when we got it back the damage was mainly cosmetic and he got off very lightly, but as you know until you pull it apart it is difficult to tell but the cills were intact, small crack to the bonnet and slightly out of line, no air bags gone off, no wheel damage, no leaking fluid, suspension looked ok, it will just be a case of seeing under the bonnet and seeing what has moved where the bonnet was out of lign, only time will tell."

Glad to hear everyone is OK.....too bad about the off-road excursion but it sounds like Mike was lucky with minimal damage as well.

...glad everyone is OK.
After you look under the bonnet you might want to check under the hood for any damage.
