Hi guys,
Maybe a stupid question, but would this work on my 08' ACR?

Thanks in Advance.

Tom, F&L where are you on this subject? Anyway, he is the oil guru on here or at least used to be on here. He speaks highly on this type of oil as I remember. Do a search to show many older posts regarding your question. They may be of help.

I was always told from manufacturers that the different oils for gas and diesel contained dedicated conditioners and cleaners for each type of engine. I have also been told that although in a turbo gas vehicle the diesel oil may work fine, but the N/A engine would be better off with the correct oil. I'm no oil expert by any means, but I guess I would stick with the correct oil just in case, even if it is harder to get or more expensive to use.

Just my 2 cents.

We run 0W-40 M1 in street engines, and 5W-40 Turbo Diesel in the TT/SC cars. The Diesel oils have more wear resistance and high temperature breakdown additives. That being said, I would not hesitate to use 5W-40 TD in an N/A engine... its just usually cost prohibitive to do so for little if any gain given our short oil change intervals.

Thanks Guys,
I did the oil change with the 5W40. Engine starts out with a bit higher oil pressure, but drops soon as she starts to heat up. So far so good for the 100km Drive today. Very easy to do the oil change with two low profile, high lift speed jacks. :2tu:
