Well I got my Moton Club Sports from Woodhouse last week. ILLSMOQ installed for me on friday. It looks great,as i knew it would from seeing all the pics on this site. But once you see the lowered stance on your own car, its a whole new love. Im very happy with the look. It should have came like this from factory.
So as stated before by others, ride seems improved. More stable and nice sporty ride. So far Im just on middle settings. Had a chance to take up in hills and handled nicely. I guess Im basically stating what others have already said, but its the best $4K I spent on this car so far. Heres a few quick pics I took.

MikeR, your car looks great. I too want to echo what you have just said. I've bought a lot of things for my vipers over the last 12 years but the motons are, by far, the best $4k that I've ever spent. Enjoy the car as well as the new handling characteristics!

Mike the car looks fantastic. One thing to keep in mind regarding the front cannister location - at some point you are going to need to test the pressure in the cannisters to ensure they are at the proper pressure - most run 175 as sugguested by Woodhouse. I was told that you should check the pressure every few months since they could potentially bleed down a bit. Since you mounted them on the face of the cross brace, it looks like you are going to have some trouble testing the pressure and pressuarizing the drivers side cannister.

Most mount the cannisters on top since there is not many options for the front. As for the rears, here is my set up.

Good point, my clamps are easliy loosened if needed, but maybe I'll change it up like you have it and put them on top.

I've seen the front canisters mounted to; the control arms, mounted to the air box, top and front side of the cross brace, inside the wheel wells and I just relocated mine into the fog light access area....what ever works.

Yes Nader, your set up allows for easy refills. Luckily Mike is skilled enough to be able to loosen the clamps when it is time to check/refill the nitrogen.

As far as the rear goes...most people put the canisters in the little cubby holes on each side.....you're way kinda limits the usable space in your trunk now don't ya think?

A couple zip ties would have turned out better than the chain link fence clamps. I thought you found some decent looking clamps in this thread a few weeks ago, what happend to those?

Best $4K? you got a nice discount on the parts (springs and shocks) and somebody did the labor for free. Installed quotes I've gotten were $5K - $6K. They included alignment; did you get aligned?

They do make a difference and the car looks beaching! We do normally mount ours in the well wells for reasonably easy access and to get away from the engine heat, Many mount them in the back in different spots, and our choice was on the side indentations at the edge of the trunk floor, as it appears that space was designed for just that shape ( the Moton Resevoir ). Different strokes for different folks , but what a great set-up and each to his own preference.

Enjoy and I still say the Copperhead was one of the prettiest ******* Snakes made.

installed and aligned...somewhere between $5K and $6K sounds about right....though some would say on these cars leaving the alignment alone (it would be a little more aggressive) is fine as long as you don't go too crazy with the lowering....in which case an alignment would be stronglty advise.

Mike R-great looking-really like the stance. Love the color of your Viper.

The Motons are a great mod. DLM mounted the canisters in this area for me. I did ask Doug to mount them in a place where it would be easy for the old man to adjust.

In the end, I couldnt find anything that worked reasonably well without extensive modifications. The clips are stainless steal and used for clamping 2" pipe. in the end each cost $10 bucks and with a simple polishing they look great.

As far as space goes in the rear, they dont take away from the space much. While I do use the trunk regularly, I certainly dont fill it to capacity. Keep in mind they only extend a few inches off the rear trunk wall. I have made several weekend trips and have plenty of space.

Better pic of the clamps. I just changed the bolt to a allen bolt with a wing nut for easier removal. in the clamp is a 1/4 foam gasket.

ILLSMOQ did a very neat install for MikeR. In the trunk my rear cannisters are mounted vertical -Think I will mount them horizontal after seeing Nader and ILLSMOQ install.

Did you pick up your own tank of nitrogen? Or do you go somewhere? I know I can get a small tank of (N) but I don't really know of anyone that will have 175 psi of it. Costco fill tires I wonder if they can go up to 175psi......?

How much was the gauge?

Woodhouse and Mark did a GREAT job with this set-up. You can always trust someone who has experience with comp-coupe suspension....:headbang:

Still looking for a small, portable tank. I was told any plumbing supply store should be able to fill it. the tanks they use store a few thousand pounds or pressure. I think the one thing you need that is different is a high pressure valve to moderate the pressure. the valve and gauge was around $110. You can also get one from Powertank. I called them and they mentioned they may also have a portable nitrogen tank soon. I am due to follow up.

Here is the valve and gauge powertank sells.

Wiseasp - that looks fantastic.

As I have always said I think the shock change is the "best" thing you can do to make the Viper more enjoyable. They will always make it look better too!

You really do need to do an alignment after the install. If you do it right the car will track much better and not follow the cracks in the road as much. The turn in will be crisp and the tail more predictable, all things that you want in a Viper.

I put my rear cannisters in the little side indentations in the trunk floor as Bill P stated. I have found one potential issue, be careful of the routing of your cannister lines, especially the rear ones. The lines can be abraided fairly easily if not wrapped with hose of some other protectant when exposed to fender liner panels, etc.

We have yet to see or hear of any problems with our 60+ installs routing through a hole in the trunk pan. We do use clamps to minimize any hose movement though.

I used an 8 inch length of 3/8 hose around the portion of the hose that comes through the trunk pan to ensure that the hose is safe from fraying. It also helps to stiffen the hose to minimize concerns of kinking.

Mark do you have any ideas how to obtain a portable bottle of nitrigen to fill the canisters? It would be nice to be able to adjust the cannisters at the track.
