That video should be played at the VOI 11...

That was uber cool. Tim's the first guy I've ever seen driving a Viper that had to put the seat all the way forward!!

Good find,
George

Tim is a super driver and he almost pissed his pants driving the GEN-4.
His comments are like: "...that thing is NOT drivable..."
or "...I almost hit the wall ..." and so on ...:drive:

"...hitting the wall will hurt me!"

Awesome video!

I've always been kind of fond of this vid:

Jeremy Clarkson usually bashes the Viper, but he likes this one.

My favorite line; "Driving this is like going out with a really good mate, big laugh, always up for a party. Trouble is, he does like to kill people with axes occasionally...knowing that, you're never really going to relax." :2tu:

I must have watched a different video. He is a Euro-wussy--at least based on his comments and attempts to constantly "drift" the car on the track.

The Viper has great grip and handling on track. Like any powerful sportscar, it does need to be respected, including throttle and braking inputs.

The transmission throws are substantially shorter/more comfortable with the shorter MGB (or whatever) shifter. I do agree that the stock "baseball bat" shifter is crazy!

Entertaining, yes; accurate, questionable!

Awesome indeed. If that video doesn't make you proud to own a viper...you don't own one in the first place.

There was quite a bit of dramatic BS in the script. After the tires heat up, the Viper has excellent traction on the track. Many of the comments were either exaggerations or falsehoods. Tim better change his habit of driving with his tongue out between his teeth. One of these days he might hit something and bite it off. When I was growing up we had a word for someone who showed the fear that he showed at the beginning: "P*s*y".

What a great video. He will really speak with an accent if he hits the wall. Put you tongue in your mouth buddy.
