Yes that is what is important.
My observation of the timeline was that the Shelby response only followed a public exposure - so in my book, a great guy would have set things right based on principle and not fear of being outed.

This is a fantastic story; one with, thankfully, a very happy ending. Shows what can happen when people bond together. It also shows from all the posts here, the good and the bad in people and how they can prejudge others. I for one know how much good Carol Shelby has done in this world.

I am getting up there and now have been diagnosed with severe Type 2 Diabetes which is already effecting my legs and vision , so I have sincere sympathy . Hope he knows Jesus , I want to see him in Heaven.
In Jesus name I pray for his comfort and healing.
