Hello all,
Im going to be looking at a gen 2 or gen 3 Viper and i have some questions about them.
Which will be a more "friendly" car to Daily.
Which handles better.
And which would you recomend.
Thank you all for your input :)

the newer the viper the more comfortable its going to be. i personally love the gen2s though, theyre my favorite style. they will both handle very well, with the gen 3 probably handling a bit better. However you can find gen2s for dirt cheap whereas you will be spending a bit more for a gen 3

I have been looking for a Viper too. I have not seen any dirt cheap gen II's personally that do not have tons of miles or a salvage title. Hard to believe all the salvage Viper's out here!

you might need to go with a gen 2 then, finding a gen 3 in that price range is hard

there are no dirt cheap gen2s out there unless they are completely trashed and in need of major work. My understanding is that you can get a gen 3 in high 30s with out a problem. gen2 s seem to hold the market pretty well in mid 30s to high 40s. gen2 for $25000 with 80k miles is something that you would have to take a VERY close look at and then some. most likely you would be looking at a salvage or totally beat up car. But I guess decent shape, zombiesnake is referring too is VERY subjective statement. Good luck in your search.

I got my 3rd gen back in April for 37k. Clean title, 35k miles and black, my favorite color. If you are willing to drive or have it shipped then you can find one for a good price. Bought mine in Wisconsin and drove it home to Albuquerque. I have put over 3k miles on it since I purchased it and only had to do an oil change and tires. Good luck!
