new owner of blue/white 96 GTS!

Early Friday morning, I rented a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove from San Jose to Fresno to meet Marv Rose of http://www.vipersales.com. A few hours later, I became the new owner of a '96 GTS blue/white with 8300 miles that was in great condition!

Driving back to San Jose from Fresno, I had absolutely no buyer's remorse. The only regret that I have is not getting a Viper sooner. I got caught in the rain though, so it needs some cleaning.

Thanks to all those on the board that have helped in my search. Look forward to joining the VCA in NorCal.

Congrats! Welcome. I just bought mine in Calf. a month and a half ago. Mine is a 96' with 9,500 miles as well. Do you have any modifications? Just be careful the first few months. It's not like your other trucks (although equally impressive). I remember the first time I "got on it". I was turning onto a four lane...... Not a good idea with this car. Almost lost it. Make sure your not on any type of angle when you get on this beast. I'm STILL learning what to do and not to do. Just keep driving it until you get comfortable.

No mods, it's completely stock. Going to keep it that way while I get to know the car. It's been raining here the last 2 days so I've been very careful. No complaints!

axe.........you can 'axe' me some questions about your 96 anytime. It has a few idoscncracies that can be cheap ($29, $149, $539) and beneficial to updgade. (97 too)
