This is an extremely easily searched topic and has been discussed many times. Call Jon B at Partsrack and he will set you up with the tires you desire. His prices are top notch so save time, give him a call and place an order.

I'd say go with the PS2's. One of our site supporting vendors should be able to hook you up with a set.

I had this same question last summer and the threads from the forums were very helpful, just use the search tool as others have stated. I have a 2006 coupe and I felt like I had a new car after I replaced the stock runflats with a new set of Michelin PS2s. Personally I didn't think a set of tires could produce the results they did, and I was seriously wrong - new tires are worth every penny. Good luck with your search.

What he said.

Here is a good recent thread: http://forums.viperclub.org/tire-wheel-brake-suspension/641106-new-tires.html

Problem is, without knowing what year you have or what wheels you have, we don't know what tires are alternatives for you. Michelin PS2s fit all years and sizes of stock Viper wheels (I think). There are cheaper alternatives that don't fit all possible wheel sizes, and each has its pluses and minuses.

ALL OVER
SEARCH FEATURE
Almost every question you can think of has already been asked and answered! In some cases, the information may be out of date and a new thread will be needed, but in many cases, an answer to your question may be under 10 seconds away!

The VCA Web Forums has a search feature very similar to web search engines like Google. By typing in a few words, it will search all old posts since the website was created to find words matching what you typed in. Be mindful though, the more words you type the fewer results you will get as it will try to find posts only with all of the words you types. In saying that as well, by using words like “The” and “It” you will get hundreds if not thousands of threads. I might suggest sticking to main words. Also try to avoid year specific searches. It will block out a lot of good info. For example:

“What is the best exhaust system for my 2006”

It might be better as:

“best exhaust”

To do a search, click on Search located in the center of the Directional Information Toolbar. If you are wanting a quick overall search, just type in the words in the search box. For this example, we will go with an Advanced Search as you can further clarify your search parameters.

Once you have clicked on Search, click Advanced Search located under the Quick Search field.

Type in the key words you want to search for. Once you have typed in your key words, click on the drop down arrow on the Search All Open Forums tab located on the lower right side of the Search page if you would like to clarify your search. Choose a specific forums you would like the question searched under. In some cases this is not needed but if you are wanting the best exhaust for your 2008, you will not want the threads from the 1992 cars. This feature helps to cut down on the amount of non-applicable information that will be presented to you. Do remember though, by selecting the one section you are narrowing down the number of places the search will look. If there was a thread in the Racing section, and you only selected the SRT section, you will not see that information. This menu can be useful if used correctly.

Once complete, click Search and see your answers! Feel free to play, there is no limit to the amount of searches you can do!

Re: New Tires Need input

Too bad that the paragraph below isn't something visible on the Search page. Also, it doesn't tell you that the Search feature won't allow you to search for some common search terms unless you trick it. i.e., you can't use 2 or 3-letter search terms for things related to Viper ownership such as PS2, KDW, ACR, GTS, SRT, ABS, CCW, SSR, OZ, HRE unless you know the secret trick of adding an asterisk at the end.

No Help feature at all on the Search page, where it is needed most.

Slightly off topic but I just tried using the wonderful search feature with no results :(
Looking for information on safety roll bar for a GTS.
Typed in 'BTR, GTS Roll bar' Ended up with a load of useless threads, none of them relating to the subject.
So then typed in 'Roll Bar' Yep another load of useless threads.

Maybe Plum knows something we don't ;)

Staying off topic ..... to execute that search - I would go to the RT/10, GTS forum.
From there you have 2 search areas - the search on the second thinner gray bar that allows you to search all forums and the "search this forum" on the third thicker gray bar under the header advertising.
As others have pointed out - the search word needs to be at least 4 characters - so you have to use the wildcard "*" to make your word at least 4 characters. Also using the word "AND" will make the search find both or more of the words searching for.
- So to search for "safety roll bar" - to minimize the returned threads, type in " safety AND roll AND bar* ".

...... So back on topic ...... use the search feature, talk to Jon B, or just buy the PS2 - GREAT TIRE, but a bit more expensive than the other options.

PS - I hear that early monday morning is the BEST time to call Jon B. :D
