New Viper owner

[Nasty 10]

After wanting a Viper for a few years now,I finally have one

I traded in my 2001 Corvette towards a new 2001 RT/10. I had owned two C5's prior to the Viper. I'm glad I made the trade. I have always read this forum, now I'll be posting.

Welcome aboard! That corvette looks N-A-S-T-Y! I had to sell my C-5 to get my viper. I would keep both if given the opportunity.

Welcome! Be sure to join the VCA, it's well worth the price of admission. I too came from a Corvette to a Viper, although I loved my 96 Grand Sport, I haven't missed it since I purchased my Viper. We had a thread a while back, actually many of us are previous Vette owners so you are welcome here! Congrats on your Viper purchase.

Congrats. If it's stock replace the rear muffler with pipes and get a little more sound. They shoulda bolted those things in instead of welding them.

Welcome, nice color choice! Your Vette was nicely modded. I had a white modded C4 that I traded for my Viper. Based on how nice your C5 looked modded I would assume you are planning mods for your Viper. Good luck and please update us all with your mods/pics. BTW, have fun kicking Vette butt!

I'm in the process of possibly getting rid of my C5 Vert but my brother might keep it in the family and throw H/C and Supercharger on it for himself

Looks like I will need to talk to Sean Roe!

I already have some plans for the Viper. The car is currently having the stereo system upgraded. K&N's and smooth tubes go on Tuesday, with exhaust to follow. I have a couple of questions, please...

I had a B&M ripper in my vette, how is the ripper for a Viper?

Does anyone with an RT/10 have tinted windows?

My windows are tinted on my RT/10. I asked for medium but I think I got light tint. Comparing the tint on this to my C5 it's much lighter to be medium

It's a must do in my opinion

Congratulations..Nice car. I too am a former Vette owner moving to Viper.

Nasty, how did you drive the C5 over speed bumps? It seems the car is lowered and even the smallest speed bumps at the mall or residentail streets would be a problem of in my opinion. If you drove it at an angle the under carriage would still drag...true? I am curious to find out how the lowered cars are driven over speed bumps.

ZX1100 I took the wheels off before I traded it in. I sold them fast. I am going to have the windows tinted as soon as I get a key for the rear window. The dealer lost the key
