Newbie needs some help!

I finally got my Viper..........2001 GTS ACR Saphire blue with Silver stripes.
I now have about 400 miles on it. I love it! But I have alot to learn.

Now here is my question. After driving the car and turning it off I noticed a fan would come on after about 30-60 seconds and I would assume cool down the engine compartment etc...Correct? But now the fan has stopped coming on after driving it. Should I take it to the dealer to have it looked at? Or have I done something inadvertantly to keep it from coming on?
Has anyone else had this happen?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your car is equiped with the thermal activated, Roe fan circuit.
It is designed to automatically switch the radiator fan on by a thermal switch, after the
car is shut down. So it only comes on when the coolant temp is above a
certain degree, and it shuts off when the temp drops below a certain point.

I think that you are confused. The fan never comes on after you turn off the car. It is not like a Corvette.

I have the Roe fan kit in my car and it does turn the fan on after the motor shuts down if the temp. starts to rise.

Ken, I think you should call or e-mail Sean Roe concerning your Qs. You may have something wrong with the cooling system if it's not coming on anymore.

Congratulations on your new Viper. How do you like the ACR suspension? Keeping this on topic, when the fan was turning on, what was the temp gauge reading right before you turned off the ignition? Was it in the upper range towards the red?

Guys...again the fan does not come on after turning the car off...it never did. So there is nothing wrong with your car.

Hey Guys!

Thanks for the help. I just found out that my car has the Roe cool down fan sensor switch on it. What it did was turn the fan on and blow the hot air out of the engine compartment after you stopped driving the car.
My ACR runs nice and cool so far. It was 85 degrees yesterday and ran at about 195 -200 degrees.

There is a problem with either the sensor or the switch. I will call Sean Roe and I am sure he will tell me how to fix it.

As for the suspension on the ACR........I could not be happier. You have a great feel for the road. The car plants and hooks up extremely real well.
