Paxton question...need help identifying part!

ok I'm thinking my car might of been supercharged in the past. right where I have circled the blue thing on the driver fender mine has holes where I have seen this on all paxton vipers. Any ideas what it is? thanks.

Thanks a lot. After I did some digging today I found out the car was owned by a guy named Wicked on this forum. Seem like he did a lot of racing. Wish I would of know a tad more about the history before I bought it. Oh well. Thanks for the response. Guess pre inspections don't tell you everything ha.

SC'd doesnt mean its not good.

No he did it. I was reading on his past posts that he picked it up from woodhouse and had it supercharged first thing. Weird thing was Doug Levin checked it out for me before it got shipped over here from Florida and he never mentioned anything about it. It even had one of his intercoolers installed before. Nice guy though. I'm just hoping it doesn't have any major problems in the future...I'm already having some issues.

What kind of problems are you having with the car?

id call doug, if the guy took the paxton off, he might have called him for help/info. doug would know more info i bet.

stinks he didnt disclose that the car had a SC on it.

Well first it was the AC resistor but I fixed that by re-soldering it. When I got the car the passenger exhaust was loose(corsa track exhaust I found out) so I took the sill panel off and where the exhaust meets the cat the weld was completely broke off around the exhaust(should be an easy fix). But 2 days ago it threw a code p0121 and p0123 something like high voltage in the throttle position sensor. The cars idle RPM's were kind a of high and sometimes it almost stalls So I replaced the TPS sensor and cleaned the IAC and checked all the connections and nothing looked messed up. I'm gonna have to take it to the shop this week and get it checked out. Don't think it's anything major but it's still a pain.

That happened to me with a Corsa once....give them a call, they will warranty it.

Wish I could get it fixed under warranty....unfortunately I'm not the original owner and as far as I know it won't be valid for other owners.

The Paxton could still be under warranty. They go by the Serial number on the unit, not the original buyer.

Doesn't have the paxton anymore hah although I wish it did...it was taken of awhile ago before I bought the car. As of now it just has corsa exhaust and a B&M shifter. BTW thanks Doug.
