After looking through the searched historical post I decided to either go with Corsa or Mopar exhaust, but need your help to make final decision.

I really like the sound and the price of the Mopar race exhaust, but have two questions:
1. Can I remain one set of cats with that system and still gain promissed HP and pass smoke test at the same time.
2. I kept reading that there is a problem with this system due to its side tips burning the body panel or sticking out. So I was wondering if anyone has a picture of the Mopar race exhaust on their car and any comment on burning the body seals.
3. I read that Mopar has some "drone" noise. What is a drone noise???
4. How does the Mopar street exhaust compares to the race in sound and HP gain?

Corsa exhaust:
1. Corsa track exhaust, does it eliminate cats or leave them as is?
2. Anyone got a picture of Corsa track exhoust tips on their car?

Thanks!

THATS TWO QUESTIONS? I count NINE+ !
Call me for a litany of more detailed and truthful answers, but start here:

1) Yes to HP. NO to SMOG (smoke?) . Mopar Race is 'offroad'
2) Professional install aligns tips...... but Mopar quality-fit NOT as good as Corsa
3) No pix from me. SEARCH
4) Mopar can be icepick-in-ear DRONE-Resonant to many owners / wives.
5) Mopar loud and droney and resonant. Get what U pay for. HP ~~same as Corsa
6) Either Corsa or Mopar can leave Cats alone or add HF cats...neither 'eliminates them'
7) Partsrack.com has pix as well as sound clips ..... so does corsaperf.com

personally I think the Corsa is too quite when driving and you only have a good "racey" sound at high RPMs where Borla or Mopar (same thing) have a throahty sound all the time that isn't load unless you are above 4500 RPMs but gives a nice rumble and low backfire when coming off mid to high RPM when driving normally. sound clips dont really sound right since you cant hear or feel bass on your computer like you would in real life. and again tips burning sides is due to improper install.

First tell us what year? Gen 1 and Gen 3 sound different because they have shorty side pipes. Genn2 sound is different becausenthe exhaust is 3 times as long and different crossovers at the rear create diffent sounds.

Random Tech made an exhaust that was good fro drone, idled loud and ran pretty quiet. Corsa trac exhaust with no cats has a different sound. Gen 2 of course. Search RTTTTed at YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. and you can hear these exhaust systems and others.

Jon sells the different types and has heard how they sound. He also often has 'deals' on slightly used etc. and can help a bunch with your choices.

You also didn't mention headers and they make a huge difference in sound as well.

Being a Gen 3 means you'll need that version of exhaust. Gen 2s will sound completely different.

We had the Corsa Track Cat-Back Exhaust with hi-flow cats on our '05 BLACK Viper. The sound was AWESOME...starting up the car shook the whole HOUSE~!!! LOVED the sound of it. (We also had B&B stepped headers...so that increased the rumble a 'tad'...lol). Go CORSA!!!! We loved it. ~juli

If you can find someone that will install it right and get the tips perfect and I'd say 300-400.
