One of our members in the Arizona Region has a 2000 RT/10 and is in need of new tires. He has the Michelin Pilot Sports on his car. He told me the best price he could find was about $450 per tire. I haven't purchased a street tire for a Viper in several years, but I remember the price of the Pilot MXXX3 being much less than that. Can somebody help me here?

Call Jon B. at Partsrack (360)837-3937. I think he can sell them for a few bucks cheaper than 'The Tirerack'. Much, much cheaper than $450. That's high.....

We also sell tires, so please pass on our number to your club member. That number is high, and I can definitely beat it.

Try Keith Moody at Bobby Archer's Motorsports in Texas.
They come to ViperDays events with tires and mount them.
Very good prices. Support those who support us.

Ahhhh...Frank remembers the good old days, when Pilot MXX3's 17x335's sold everyday at $199.00. A full set of fronts and rears sold mounted and balanced, with taxes paid, still well under $1,000. Michelin even showed up at VOI in Florida and sold tires directly to ViperDays and VOI days attendees at Sebring. That was the hot ticket.

Tires for the new 18's much more expensive, but just wait to see what the 19" run flats will cost for the 03. Bet over $500 each if you can get them.

Frank my local tire supplier was very close to Tire Rack's prices. $275 for the 275/30/18's and $335 for the 335/30/18's. I've also bought tires from site sponsor Zisser tire in St Louis. 800-869-8992 ask for John www.zissertire.com

I bought a full set from Parts Rack (Jon B) this past season delivered for around $1300.00.

I shopped around before I gave Jon the order. Tire Rack was about $150.00 more than Parts Rack.

Zisser did not carry Pilot Sports at the time, and they are out of MXX3's.

I tried to get them from my local Michelin supplier. But they could not get a price break. So there only option was Tire Rack. But same price Tire Rack quoted me.

So I bought them from Jon B at Parts Rack and had them shipped to my installer.

Good luck.

PartsRack would be SIGNIFICANTLY below $450 per.
Even less than $350 avg / 4 !

I would go with Jon B. even if someone else sells the tires at a cheaper price. The advice Jon will provide on other Viper repair issues will more than make up for the diffence in the cost of four tires.
