Never had this problem in other T56 equipped cars...this is the second time I've blown the input and cluster gears in the Viper. 2-3 power shift on both occasions.

The T56 doesn't like all that torque. :drive:

Are you power shifting with your foot on the gas while using the clutch or are you letting off a bit? If you are full on power shifting the tranny will never handle the torque of the viper motor nor will it handle dumping the clutch at a high rpm. I have 20,000 miles on my 2003 and I only use the clutch for taking off in ST gear and down shifting into ST gear. The rest of the time I up shift and downshift without the clutch by matching RPM's. This is a technique i was taught back in the 1970's while racing as it produces very quick shifts without heating up the clutch. I do not recommend anyone shifting as I do because if you miss a downshift the results will not be good!
