How many quarts of oil does a 2005 srt take?

Is it 10?

I remember reading someone saying it took 11...

I just want to make sure...

It holds 11 quarts, 12 if you have a Paxton

The shop manual says 11, but the owners manual says 10. Dodge puts in 10 . Sure would like to know the real amount. I am talking about a 06

I usually get about 10.5 qts in mine with a filer change. I put ten in, fill the filter and then check the oil level. Run it for 5 minutes, check it again and add as needed.

FYI, mjorgensen (above) is the service manager at Woodhouse Dodge, the #1 Viper dealer in the world. If anyone would know, it would be him.

I just paid 145.00 for an oil change at the dealership which caused quite a laugh back at the office. I don't know how much synthetic oil cost but I figured at 10 quarts and $8/quart it was reasonable.

When I drain my 03 overnight it takes 11 qts with oil filter. That is exactly what the 03 service manual says...11 qts.
