Took delivery of my 1995 (21k) last week, was able to take it around the block before putting it in the garage for the winter, car seems amazing, been in vettes most of my life and this car is just plain BAD. I have found a few of my questions answered with the search function, however cant find anything on the hard top. The car came with no owners manual or any info on the hard top install. Also, could anyone tell me what actually came with the car from the fac? I apologize in advance for my viper ignorance. My car came with both tops, side curtains and hard windows, car cover, bra, and cockpit cover, I am assuming the only thing that was aftermarket was the hard windows.

Thanks for any feedback

Your '95 came from the factory with a soft top, soft side windows (side curtains) and the cockpit cover. The hardtop and hard windows became available in '96. The bra and cover are dodge accessories. In '95 all vipers came with soft top, windows and cockpit cover, the rest was bought from the dealers parts department , or added later. A/C became standard so the only difference is body and interior color. I think red/black/yellow/green paint, grey or tan interior.

Most of the hardtops are Dodge built but there are a few aftermarket companies. Same with hard windows, most are from dodge but there are a handful of other versions out there.

If you have the dodge hardtop, you have to take the "sport cap" off. That is the black "pad" where you see the slots for the soft-top. (I haven't done it in years, mine's in storage so lot's of folks can help you here). There are some aftermarket versions that don't require you to do this, but chances are you have a dodge top.

Post pictures of your top and windows and a number of folks here will be glad to help you with questions, install, etc. Go to the viper registry and it will show you some general build info and how to tell you if your '95 is one of the "final 300". Touch base with Jonb @ PartsRack, he may have a owners manual set at a reasonable price.

Best wishes with your new viper, lot's of folks will be happy to help you Mike

Just in case you didn't see this already for the VCA NY/CT Region.
