SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME \"custom\" silver SRT-10 (pic)!

I forgot to post Steve's car earlier - my bad. In my very humble opinion, this is the best looking SRT-10 I have seen to date. Mind you, I still love the black, but this is just one heck of a combination - and the picture location just makes it look all that much better!

As I understand it, Steve was able to do this with vinyl decals that were custom designed for his car. The effect is just incredible, in my very humble opinion...

WOW!!! One of the reasons I love black is that the reflections hi-light the side cove, while the silver and red tend to look flat... this solves that problem! That's just kick ass! I wonder how it'd look on a red car?

WOW - and I am not even a silver fan - that looks great

Looks lowered too - or is it just the autoform skirt

Oh yeah! I almost forgot that Steve also had these windshield decals made for his car:

He got so many compliments on them that he made some for other members in his local club. He has more available for sale in red, silver, or white vinyl. I believe they are $30.00 delivered. Cool stuff!

I knew it reminded me of something, and now I know... it looks like the carbon residue from the exhausts of WWII fighter planes. It just makes the car look powerful.

Chris, that is a great photo. Did you take it? Were you moving at the time? Digital or SLR. I love the way the background is blurred

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

Alas, I can claim nothing other than helping him post the photos. Never shot the pictures themselves, but boy are they AWESOME! I have a note into Steve to get more details and suspect he will post here as well. Already sent the picture to a couple of our local VCA members with silver SRT's and they are chomping at the bit! I tried to imagine what it would look like on black (reversed) or red, and I am afraid that silver really is the best color for these graphics. Dang it! :)

I love the black VIPER script on the sides and back, and the fuel filler door is awesome. Time to start shopping. I too wonder what the fading decals would look like on a red SRT.

Now that makes me want an SRT! Dodge needs to offer it as a factory option.

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

Thank you for the compliments. Especially thanks to Chris for posting the pictures.

This is my first Viper and I have add way too much fun already. Two Viper Days and many club events. 4,000 mile and I just had to replace the tires. Yes I am literally driving the tires off it. Just ordered a set of 18" wheels and tires for next years Viper Days season. I am planning on attending at least five events next summer.

I had the vinyl side graphics done by a friend. I have given the rights for sale of the graphics to Autoform they are available through them @ 616-392-4909 ask for Jerry. Autoform is also responsible for the side skirts, fuel door, and roll bar. They also installed the TeamTech six point harnesses. The vinyl winshield lettering can be ordered directly though me. They are available in Silver, Red and White. Cost is $30.00 delivered. If interested send me a private email and we can get togther. I also have added the convertible top cover which is being embrodiered with the Snake head. Since this picture was taken I have added Autoform's stainless steel rear diffusers. They give a very cool look to the car, highly polished stainless and they are about 50% larger than stock. So they are very noticeable. I replaced factory silver letering on the sides and rear with factory black lettering. As you can see it is much more noticeable. Not that everyone doesn't know what Vipers are by this time.

If any one has additional questions post them here or send me a private email. Fantastic car and the VCA are great people.

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

Steve,
I LOVE the car, my wife even commented on it which is quite the deal since she won't comment on mine (maybe it is because the first she knew of my car is when it was delived to the house as she is pulling in!!!! Ouch)

Do you also have Autoform's rollbar installed (black)? I have the silver autoform which I think would look killer with the black interior and the side graphics. I guess I will be phoning in another order to autoform!! Any details would be great!!!

Thanks
Dave

Stunning and your graphic design artist did a remarkable job.Have to admit, this would be a nice option for DC to consider. It is tasteful, yet it causes a completely different look on the SRT. Congrats and I am sure the compliments will keep flowing.

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

It looks great but what are the long term effects of a large decal like that on the paint? I am paranoid about putting decals on my Vipers and maybe there is no reason to worry?

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

The Roll bar is a black Autoform bar. I am not sure what other details you need, ask and I will answer. All the Autoform parts on the car are standard parts for them, the lead time varies from in stock to 5 weeks depending on the item. Call Jerry @ Autoform (616)392-4909 for more details and pricing. As far as the paint is concerned, my graphics guy (25 year friend in graphics for 15 years)assures me that they will not hurt the paint. The only possibility would be fading, and since these cars spend 90% of their lives covered in garages that shouldn't be any problem. At least nothing that I am worrying about.

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

Got a message from Jerry at Autoform $250 for the set of graphics on the side...might have to do. Steve, I just wanted to confirm it was the black AF rollbar. If the pic was pre intall and you installed a silver rollbar, I was going to beg for a pic to see what mine might look like.

Thanks! What a great look!!!

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

The above picture is with the BLACK AF bar installed. I know they have 2 sets of the graphics in stock. The windshield graphics I have myself. If interested let me know. The TeamTech belts are silver with black pull tabs, very cool look.

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

Chris/Steve That's a really cool picture. So how was it done? There doesn't seem to be a road under the car and some of the background looks blurred from different angles. The wheels look blurred but the brake calipers aren't so the car must have been moving. After seeing Chris's Kansas speeedway finish line photo it's hard to tell what's moving and what isn't. Well???

Steve had a professional photographer shoot these pictures at Gingerman - you know, the place where the Z06 is faster according to Bob Lutz. Car was moving and the camera guy had a good angle. If Photoshop was used, it was only to remove the numbers on the back of the car, although I suspect they were only on one side of the car. Here are couple more shots from the track, in which you can see both the numbers and the black Autoform roll bar more clearly (second shot especially):

Of course here is another shot very much standing still that really does look awesome:

Now if there was some way to do that on black...

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

Just wondering. Those last 2 moving pictures have track under them where the 1st didn't, and the trees in the 1st picture looked blurred in opposite directions. I like the greenery in the background, much better than a race track white wall. Cool pictures and car.

Re: SCLSSRT10\'s AWESOME

I saw the price of the side sills. Ouch. How much are the decals???? ALSO, has anyone thought about a decal for in front of the hood scoop? I was thinking that a black decal shaped like the NACA duct on the genII hood would look awesome. Either that or follow the mold lines in the SRT hood.
