Speedo jumps ? All other gages OK ?

It's an 02 RT10 and the speedo will spike (sometimes up to 100mph) if you give the gas a quick blip while sitting still. All other gages work fine. The Speedo works fine once you start moving. It seems to only do it when stopped


Anyone heard / seen that one before ?

I would think so. Bad connection/inaccurate voltage, etc. (I don't think it's a mechanical cable? ) would have to check manual.

not a battery issue for sure. That much I am sure of I'm my case at least. It sounds like we have the same issue in very different Dodge cars so whats the common denominator here?

Speed! Parked cars do not have this issue. Duh!








Really though, I would agree to check the sensor. On my '01 it's a hall effect type sensor on the DS of the transmission near the tailshaft. Sounds easier than pulling the dash!
