steering column question

Hey!

I have only had the opportunity to inspect a drive a 2003 Dodge Viper. My only drawback is the steering column adjustment lever. I have long legs and have to adjust the steering wheel up to "fall" into the driver's seat. The steering column lever gets in the way and is clumsy.

Did the steering column lever change in later years? Any aftermarket kits to remedy the situation?

Thanks!
Jamie

Jamie, look at the 1 or 2 inch seat lowering kit from jonb@ partsrack. I have the 2 inch kit which lowers the drivers seat all the way to the floor which works for me. The 1 inch lowering kit drops the seat approx.1 inch. and still allows you the ability to move the seat both forward and rearward......Good Luck!!

Thanks for the information! I had heard of the kits, didn't know it would remedy the situation.

New question about fitting in interior: Where is the controls for adjusting the foot pedals?

I had read the Viper has foot pedal adjustability. I was so excited to test drive the '03 Viper, I forgot to ask how to adjust the pedals, and my ride was very cramped. I speculate if I adjust the pedals and had the seat lowering kit there should be plenty of leg room.

Thanks!

Directly inline with the center of the steering wheel on the knee plate. (*you know, right were you knees are hitting:)) There is a single switch which resembles a window switch.
