Hey guys, I have a question,,,, I have a 94 with tan interior, is this a common color? The registry doesn't list how many were made with this color. Is it rare? Most all the other ones I see are gray in color. Might affect my decision to change the interior color if it's not a common color...... I know they made quite a few red 94's, how many were tan????

According to this link no tan for 94??? What color is the carpet in your car?
If it is tan it would be worth further investigation if it is black it is not factory tan.

The whole interior in my car is tan except for the dash. Don't even tell me I have a 1 of 1 kinda thing!!!! Somebody has to know how I can find out????????? When I got my car it had roughly 20k on it and it was bone-stock, nothing had been played with as far as I could tell. Everything I have worked on looked like I was the first one to play with it.

Just a guess that the previous owner had it switched out. Are you sure that it is a Dodge interior?

Personally have never seen a build spec with tan in 94. No tan made until 95 from all printed material I have seen.

Previous owner must have had it changed out once he saw a 95 Red w/ tan and realized how cool it looks.

Could have been the 94 test car for the tan interior and somehow you ended up with it. :D Just made that one up but it sounds good, right?

Chad, looks like all the other interiors I've seen. Coulda been swapped, but everything I've come across doesn't look like it was tampered with. Down to the factory floor mats... had to be factory done. If it isn't....... where the h#@%$#%@$%%$$#l is my gray interior????? :D

Great!!!! With my luck, it'll be the one made for Bob Lutz that's 1 of 1 that he didn't like and would've been priceless in 'bout ten years!!!!!!

Wow all this controversy! Yes, yes, yes Red/Tan was available in 94 not sure about 95. Yours sounds bone stock.

Codes

MLXD Gray/Black................................................... N/C N/C
MLXK Tan/Black.................................................... N/C N/C

This is you right?

No worries, it's stock.

I wish Chad had been doing iteriors when I bought mine. I looked forever to find the tan interior and paid a premium for it. I could have just got gray and made it any color I wanted.

It also says white stripes were an option for red vipers in 1997 (even in the brochures!), but none were built.
