Just wanted to know how much you usually end up spending every week or even month on gas?

I don't know about the per month part of it but I have noticed that every time I drive it about sixteen miles it uses about a gallon of gas.

its one of those if you have to ask questions(that and insurance) dont buy the car. I went through 3 1/2 tanks of gas last weekend 14.5 gals each fill!

How much you spend a month really depends on how much you drive it. I get about 10-11 MPG around town, so I fill up every 150-175 miles or so. You get to be pretty good friends with the local gas station guys. Some people say they get a lot better than that, but I sure don't :(

Adding the lower gears hasn't really seemed to have much of an affect, at least that I have noticed so far.

Honestly I have never even checked. I am still amazed at people that ask me what kind of gas milage do I get. (no slam on you Austin)

I am just like, gas milage, I never thought about it, so I tell them it gets 8mpg and they seem to like that answer.

Who knows, that is probally what I really am getting. :)

My friends ACR gets about 150 in the city depending on how throttle happy he gets. If he gets real throttle happy you can just watch the gas gauge drop, ricer's make him throttle happy :p

Highway's not that bad, about 20-22mpg at 80-90mph when he or his dad drives it back and forth between here in South Florida to Kentucky. They have a 00' ACR so it rides much better then the 00.5+ ACR's whose suspension is way to stiff and bouncy.

Well I have had my car for about 3 months. I just bought it new from Texas. I drive about 50 miles a day and fill up just about every 4 days. So to gas costs about $45.00 per week or so and then multiply that by 4 and then you get $180.00 a month. I am usually driving in my city so it is getting poor gas mileage. Even though I still drive it everyday and love it. It will be a shame when it has to get parked for the winter. I will miss her so much.

I actually get pretty good mileage. I don't have to fill up until I go over 200 miles. I'm not a lead foot but once in awhile I will let it breath. I usually save those blasts on Friday nights on the cruise strip. No sense in wasting a good burnout unless someone is witnessing right? ;)

Very true. When I went to check the car and drive it the weather was soooo nice and it was winter time for us in New Jersey. On the way I saw a yellow RT/10 with the top off. I was so excited because I would be driving mine that day. I just love the car. I have not yet been able to use the convertible that much but I will. I also am not a big fan of that REALLY hot 90 degree weather as it has been for the last two days. I take the top off at night and have fun with night cruises. :D LOL!

I think his response to your question was appropriate. He's not being a ****.
Hang around here, you'll get some **** replies now and then. That wasn't one of them.

By the way, why wouldn't you just ask about MPG? Who cares how much anyone uses per week or month?

Austin, why are you asking these ******** questions? Sounds like you're trying to bash on how much Viper owners spend each month, and how they waste gas. Well I think that's ****** of you. You're such a [******] [******]! If something like this ever comes up again, I'm going to announce you as the boards new troll. Maybe you should just go back to your troll lair now, before you really anger me!

Just kidding, lol. I've heard out of most magazines that they get about 12-13 mpg on highway and 9-10 city.

I have seen just about EVERY post regarding the gas mileage, I just wanted to see what you guy/gals were spending seeing as there seems to be some BIG gaps in the mileage that everyone gets per gallon.

I gave up on the insurance issue, Like I give a [******] anymore...I want to drive one of my dreamcars and theres nothing that will stop me. I got a gas guzzler anyways(DMC), 3-4 less miles won't worry me, Im not worried about gas or insurance (insurance anymore XD)

I figure, I have a job, and no other tiedowns....Its all good! Suffering for what you want makes it all the more sweeter when you get it.

Mine gets about 22-23 on the highway and about 10-11 in town.

My wife drives it every day, 40 miles both ways, and she fills up about about every 4-5 days.

Now when I drive it, I have to to fill up every 100 miles :)

Just filled up last night - mostly in town driving - and got a whopping 160 miles / tank. Tank read EMPTY, but only could put 15.5 gallons in the 19.5 gallon tank. So, while I thought I was getting 8 MPG, I was actually getting about 10 MPG, so I am happy. Car gets much better mileage on the highway.

On another note, I was following Henry in the truck to drop it off at the shop, and we were stopped at a light. I young kid in a Dakota STOPS going the opposite direction, gives me a smile and a thumbs up- I smile and wave back, and then he proceeds to impress me with a mini-burnout. Well, his truck starts moving SIDEWAYS, towards the truck and the front of MY CAR! Man, that would have sucked if he was trying to impress me and ended up hitting both me AND my husband... :) :) :)

That's interesting Janni. I sweated the fuel gauge down to E a few times (especially looking for a Sunoco 94 octane station). But even though it read E, I couldn't get more than 15 gallons in the car. Is this gauge "offset" the norm? Probably a good safety but it's really off by a lot!
Sorry for the Hi-Jack.

That's actually one question I don't think about. I look at it this way... The more gas I put in the more I get to drive my car, so fill'r up!

I drive my car to a pretty solid "E" to be able to put in 16 gallons (I thought it was a 19 gal tank?), and put in as much as 18.5 before...

Based on how closely we were tracking fuel level during the enduro, you could alwys get the level to change. We were never able to put over 16 gallons in. We did not run it down so far that were ever had fuel pickup problems.

I am now using the trip odometer as a better indicator to decide when I should be worried about running out. (Henry gave me grief like we were in jeopardy of running out after we dropped the truck off, but never said what he put in when we went out for gas last night. I had to look this up on the gas receipt. It was 15.5 gallons. :) )
