Tire hardness

For the hell of it I bought one of those tire durometers that measure rubber hardness. Below are the readings. Stock run flats loose.

BGF drag radials - 52

Stock run flats - 80

Kumhos on my daily driver - 72

compound does not reach optimum grip until at operating temp and reading also reading will change will age of rubber alone(check your date codes)

As Sylvan says, temperature will greatly affect the durometer's readings.

Tire age and use will too.
