Track Day Pics

Finally back from Norway and downloaded some pics from my track day at Summit Point. As I mentioned in another post I graduated to Group 2I in the Bill Scott Racing School, so I'm intermediate level with an instructor. The first pic is the best as I'm surrounded by vetts. Thought you guys would enjoy that one.

How'd you do against the vettes? I did an autocross a few weeks ago and had a Ford GT and 2 new Z06s in my class. I was 4 seconds faster than the quickest Z06, and had 2 seconds on the GT. I just went to have fun, and never though I would actually win my class.

I was by far faster than the vettes. But keep in mind at this level it's far more a difference in driver than car. I was in the Novice class and many of these guys have never even been on the track before. Not that I'm great or anything but there is a huge difference between your first and second time let alone your third. I timed the GT at 1:28. My fastest timed lap is a 1:30, but I didn't get any timed laps at this last event. My guess is I could hang with him. He was not in my group but was in the novice class. There was a new M3 that was hanging with me pretty good in the corners. He was the only car that really caught my attention. I was pretty amazed especially since his line was horrible.
