Viper Owner
I've seen a few older tt cars from pretty famous tuners for sale...do they have a life expectancy due to the higher stresses, or if done right are they the same as a usually car.
Thanks
Thanks
don't expect a big power TT motor to last more than 5k miles or so between refreshs.
Edit: if it is driven like it should be

this guy lasted over 100,000km with a turbo.
That was a joke, right?

Geez that's all?

Find roy on the forum. He has owned many TT vipers. He would be your best person to ask. I think he is on his 13th viper or something like that and most of them have been boosted.
I have been biting my Tongue about all these negative statements about TWIN TURBO VIPERS because the VIPER PATROL has warned me to keep my opinions to myself but there is no way a person is gonna pay $40,000 to $50,000 for a real professional Turbo tuner to build their Vipers so that they can go out and blow the motor up in 5,000 mi or so......that is insane..... I refuse to believe that anyone talking like these few on this forum about TWIN TURBO VIPERS have ever owned one......they are way wrong for talking like they are authorities on this subject to make themselves feel good. If they wanna talk the talk then they need to walk the walk......I wish other VIPER TWIN TURBO owners would speak up and not leave it to me to defend our Turbo Vipers......I hate for anyone that would be able to afford going to Turbo Vipers to be afraid to do so because of negative talk like this.....the same goes for owners of supercharged Vipers......we are all in the same boat here...... Supercharged Vipers and Turbo Vipers are the baddest of the bad and are a real thrill to own and drive.....don't let people that do not know what they are talking about scare you away from the pleasure of owing one......If the Viper Patrol kicks me off the Viper web site for defending our TWIN TURBO VIPERS and SUPERCHARGED VIPERS then so be it.....if you no longer hear from me on hear you will know that they did and my freedom of speech has been takin away.....HAPPY VIPERING TO ALL MY VIPER FRIENDS and sometimes enthusiast need to remain just that.....It is like Talkin like you are a Lawyer, when you are not....we all know what they call that type of Lawyer, don't we?
Roy, I built a cast piston TT RT/10 for a customer that was making 750-800 RWHP for 20,000+ miles.
IMO, there is nothing like a TT Viper!
Way to go Paolo........But I would be very afraid of cast pistons but hey it stayed together sounds like.......I put a 8-71 Weiand Blower on a Brand new 350 motor with cast pistons and the very first time I got on it , it came all to pieces, ha......when I put the next motor in it I went with ALL the forged stuff for a blower motor and NEVER had a drop of trouble after that......so I learned my lesson on that one, ha........but again, I say , you did good for that one to stay together......::
